It would be a massive shame for the lad himself though. He's worked his arse off and he deserves to play. Both in terms of form and ability.

Yeah, Sterling will hog the headlines to take the focus away from another abject performance by Rooney, Lampard & Wiltshire. The last thing we'd want to do is put pressure on poor Wayne to actually score a goal in a World Cup.

I'm beginning to think he has a case of Small Man Syndrome, complete with classic inability to back up his bluster. Still rate him as a player but he has a sod of a lot of growing up left to do.

Wilshere is dreadful, playing in a midfield two he constantly runs forward driving at the opposition defence (rarely succeeding), loses the ball and doesn't bust a gut to get back, leaving the team horribly exposed, this happened time and time again last night. This is why the majority will never rate Henderson over him, despite the fact Henderson is a much better midfielder, Henderson actually does his job, and when he does roam forward, he doesn't leave the team horrifically exposed, however because once every 2 or 3 games Wilshere does a cute touch, or beats a player, all the idiots think he's gods gift.

😕

I see the papers have started running bullshit like "red mist" about Sterling, pathetic, not in a million years was that a red, but this is just what Roy needs to leave Sterling out against Italy, because fuck form and the better player, lets play trusty Welbeck and completely let Rooney off the hook for being out of form, because its Rooney so it doesn't matter.

Mad ain't it and whats even madder is the amount of thick fucking idiots that buy it and have their mind made up for them by these rags, seen him being called a hot head and shit like that, i suppose thats it now, hes now branded as some unreliable loose cannon even though there is zero evidence of it.

I feel sorry for Jack Wilshere, such a talent but all those injuries have fucked it up for him, if anyone needs a few injury free seasons its him, he can still be a brilliant player.

Sterling made an unnecessary tackle in a friendly. It warranted a booking. However, he could be excused of being over zealous, after all he is fighting for a starting position against Italy. Valencia on the hand probably saw that game as an opportunity to keep fitness levels up, nothing else. He reaction was still OTT and deserved his red.

Looks like Chamberlain is fucked then, done his medial ligaments. Wonder if he'll call up a reserve?
Only midfielders he's got are Carrick and Cleverly. Oh dear.
I'd call up Defoe if anyone.

Apparently he can call up anyone because it's a new injury.

Not sure if there's anyone worth bothering with really. I think I'd be tempted to stick with the Ox.

Call up Flanno and bump GJ to winger if needed but that would assume injuries to Milner, Sterling also.

Big kick in the nuts him being out, why couldn't it have been Lampard or Smalling or someone like that.

If anything it must be tempting to call up a defender after watching the reserves yesterday.

Agree with the above, hes an important player so stick with him, hopefully its only 10 days/2 weeks and he can still play some part.

Johnson has barely played as a winger in his entire career mate. I doubt he's gonna start at a world cup.

Chamberlain will be fit just as we're getting on the plane home. I can't see them qualifying out of the group the way they're playing, shocking at the back.

He's out for 2 weeks. Dont think Hodgepodge will send him home yet. Have to replace him by June 13th.
