Hmm well when you consider the following

We don't want to spunk out 30m in Jan on another striker....... tick
We extremely short on attacking options up front..................tick
He would be free.......... tick
He plays well when he is playing for a new contract..............tick
He's clubless at the moment so would take a 6 month contract until the end of the season............ tick
He's more mobile than Benteke.............. tick
He's got a better touch than Benteke............tick
He's got better link up play............tick
He's a better finisher..............tick
He's full of confidence and arrogant which is needed in a striker............... tick
He would have something to prove after Spurs, like he did after Arsenal..........tick

Then the negatives are

He's a dickhead
He's 31

Hmmm not really much of a debate for me. We have an injured Studge, a rubbish Benteke and a raw as f*ck Origi, we are competing on four fronts and come Feb will be playing Thurs/Sun football until we go out of something.

We need a striker.

Worst post of 2015

I think DB is taking way too much flak for this. If somebody else had suggested I think people would at least be a bit more open to it. It's not the worst idea I've heard given Ings is probably out until next year and I expect Sturridge to play about ten games. That leaves us with two strikers, neither of whom are top level. I still wouldn't go for it personally because (a) he's a cunt (b) he's inconsistent, (c) he's a mega cunt, (d) he hasn't played football in ages and (e) it'd be emabarrassing going for a Spurs reject. Pato if we could get him cheap and on small wages I'd be for.

Ah, come on now. Even if (if) you have a point about the idea overall, a good few of Pat's "ticks" above are - let's be kind - dubious, lobbed in to try and bolster an equally dubious overall argument. He's made up his mind first and tried to slant the evidence afterwards.

What is with this 'small wages' argument? You seriously think he would put in so much as a quarter shift in any match when he knows he is on shit wages??

I love the fact Spurs are spunking 100K a week on the useless lump. They all despise him which makes it all the more funny. He might well do a job with us in the short term but why ruin the fun of watching Spurs squirm a bit more? - I love articles like this because I know how much fucks off the average bellend Spurs fan.

Controversial footballer Emmanuel Adebayor may not seem to be in a hurry to find a new club, but he has found the time to accumulate a quite stunning collection of luxury watches.
The Togo striker left Tottenham in September, but is still picking up £100,000-a-week in wages.
And Adebayor is wasting no time spending his earnings as he showed off his luxury collection of time pieces suped-up by New Bond Street jewellers Frost of London.
The watches - in a storage box- show different times because many are automatic movement pieces meaning they require the owner to wear them to wind them up.

It's not just his watch collection the 31-year-old has been showing off during his sabbatical from football.

Adebayor, who was a BBC World Cup 2010 pundit, had been pictured alongside classic cars and enjoying himself by the pool while relaxing in Ghana and Togo.
Two months ago he also posted a photograph of him relaxing by a pool, with the caption 'relaxing by the pool side on a Sunday morning and enjoying some good music'.

But more recently the striker has shown his desire to get back on the pitch, posting several videos and pictures of himself working out.

Lie to him and tell him he's getting 200k a week next season if we get into Champion's League. He'll break scoring records!!!

But he is not going to sign a 6 month contract. Chances are he will end up where all the players go at the twilight of their careers, China, ME, USA and if they don't want him he has Indian Super league.

This would only be funny if we signed him short term with a wage per goal contract while Spurs had to pay him 100k a week.
And we finished 4th and they 5th thanks to his goals.

I could live with that...

That Spurs are happy to pay him 100k a week to fuck off rather than have him in the squad should be the big hint with Adebayor.

seriously how has this reached 2 pages ? - guy is completely unstable as a player, and like Rosco has said - he is getting paid 100K a week and yet Spurs are OK with him not being in the squad. That is a big silent statement in itself.
