Dida

He'd want a lot of money and we've got Pep's - So he'd never play

So unless Reina leaves us, no thanks

Dida is a terrible goalkeeper, and Reina is possibly the world's best. Unless we're planning to pay off the club's debt in one fell swoop, that would be the stupidest transfer decision ever.

It would be just the stupidest signing ever. We've got the best keeper in the world. We've got a perfectly decent backup and we have two or three highly thought of yoofs.
Just fuck off ice cube.

For free??

wtf do we want to even consider buying another keep for... ?

besides do not want.. as solid as he can be.. he reminds me of a Brazilian David James...

has his moments of calamity's and madness from time to time...

Hmm, let's look at the evidence:

He's fucking shit
Old
Free
Nobody else wants him
Plays in a position in which we don't need anyone

Conclusion: probably true.

If we could offload Cavalieri for some cash then it would be a good signing.

N.B. I realise that this is a tad unlikely

We're really spoiled with Reina at the minute, obviously he's one of the best, but he also never seems to be injured. Having a better keeper than Cavalieri mightn't be a bad idea, not that I think Dida would be the solution. Everyone would jump right down Rafa's neck if Reina were to get injured and we started shipping goals due to a below par keeper. It's obviously not a priority, but I do think we need a little better back up.

Cavalieri is a decent enough back up. Unless he wants to go then we should keep him.

To be honest, it's almost impossible to know if he's a decent enough back-up. Obviously he's looked better than Itandje, but as Gerry says, Reina's never injured, so Cavalieri's been limited to a few fairly low-pressure cup games. How would he handle the pressure of a CL semi-final or a crucial league match? We won't know till it happens. But realistically, that will probably be true for any back-up keeper. We just have to hope Pepe's fitness stays at its current level.
