Could it be true? - RE Suarez

You'd assume he's been told who we're after as well as having a wage bump, or at the very least completely buys Rodgers ideas, either way it bodes very well.

It'll also help attract players seeing someone high profile stay with us when he could have gone elsewhere.

Fucking great news.
Yep - whatever way you look at it it's great news. I agree with you about being told who's coming in. I also loved his little interview. 'I'm now a Liverpool fan' - Nice one Luis.

Brilliant!
Now lets follow this up with contract extensions for skyrtel and agger, and get a nice shiny new signing please!

Excelllllllllent news.
It's things like this that make other players stop and think, it's also things like this that make some of our fans stop and think.
I fucking love Suarez, and I am sure this is all down to the love and faith he was shown at a very dark time for him, don't anyone say and money either, as I am sure he could have to other clubs for more than we are likely to be paying him.
So move along Juve, there's nothing to see here.

regards

He did say that the club stood by him in a difficult time and values loyalty. He dreamt of playing for us and wants to win trophies with the club. Now for another exciting flair player signing and I don't mean Dempsey or Allen.

All down to Kenny, much as he was derided by many for how he handled it, it worked for us in holding onto the player.

So the bitey little fuck got a payrise for being a massive cunt and getting suspended.

Colour me surprised.

I was thinking more the fans (most of them at any rate), although I admired Kenny's loyalty I thought he personally could have handled his side a bit better to be honest.

From the offal - In honour of King Luis.

Brendan Rodgers
"From the outset, he has seemed a really good guy. He loves the city and the passion. We have exchanged lots of texts. He sent me a text on the first morning, wishing me good luck. He has really bought into what we are trying to do."
Jari Litmanen
"Suarez is never happy if he's not scoring goals and you need that kind of player if you want to have a team at the top. He is a player who really wants to score goals, and he is used to scoring massive goals for his national team, in Holland and here too. Time will tell what kind of results Liverpool will get in the coming years, but we all already know Suarez is a great player."
Steven Gerrard
"He's a very enthusiastic footballer and very intelligent. He's like a kid in the street and he can't wait to get out for training and games. He's still young enough and I'm sure he's going to get even better than he is now, which is a scary thought. He's got the appetite for the game to learn and get better. Hopefully he will go on here for a long time because he's certainly got a massive part to play at this club in the future - the history is there to be written."
Jamie Carragher
"He is a fantastic player and I'm delighted we've got him. I wouldn't swap him for anyone in the league."
Uruguay coach Oscar Tabarez
"I don't understand how people can still be surprised by Suarez. This kid is achieving incredible things and it is exciting to watch him play. I remember he had a few problems when he first started at Nacional, then he exploded in Holland with Groningen and Ajax. He became captain in Amsterdam and now is starring for Liverpool. He's extraordinary."
Kenny Dalglish four months after signing Suarez
"I don't think in our wildest dreams he could've settled in as quickly as he has done and taken to English football the way that he has done. He's graced the pitch every time he's played on it."
Neil Warnock when his QPR side were beaten 1-0 at Anfield after a Suarez winner
"That is the quality of people like Suarez, they find half a yard and I thought he looked amazing today - oh, to manage him."
Alex McLeish
"Suarez is perpetual motion, he's a brilliant player. Suarez can slip into holes that other players leave, he is a very elusive player. He is non-stop and has been a fantastic signing for Liverpool."
Jose Enrique
"He's right at the top in the world. As Stevie says - he's amazing. He makes a lot of chances himself. From nothing, he can do something. He is really, really important to us."
Bradley Orr
"I think he is unplayable. He's so strong, I didn't realise how strong he was for a small player. I love him. I'm a big Liverpool fan and to be on the same pitch as him was a pleasure."
Mark Lawrenson
"Lots of people have arrived at Liverpool and people have said they remind me of Dalglish - and they never were because he was so special, but Suarez might just be the closest. He's got all the ability in the world and a real mean streak. He is a top player."
Daniel Agger
"Everybody can see that he is a class player. He is so different. I cannot find any other striker that looks like him or plays like him. It's not because he does any fancy things or anything like that, he just gets the ball in front of goal and creates the chances for himself. Sometimes the way he gets the ball and the way he gets in on goal - you don't believe it."
Tommy Smith
"The more I see of Luis Suarez the more he reminds me of Kevin Keegan. His movement is exceptional and Suarez is a fine player. He doesn't just have the ability to beat someone for pace, he can stop, stand on the ball and then nutmeg you."
Stewart Downing
"When he gets the ball you never know what he is going to do. Suarez always shows a desire to get forward and attack, to do something different. He plays the kind of football fans want to watch. Since he's come here, he's really took to it - probably better than most foreign players. He's settled instantly. He'll be a huge player for the club over the next few years."
Steve Clarke
"Unpredictability is one of his biggest assets. As a defender you don't know what he is going to do, so it is difficult. When he is in the penalty area he attacks defenders, he gets at them and forces them to make mistakes. Defenders cannot over commit inside the box or they run the risk of giving away a penalty. It's a big, big asset for him and I think for defenders it is very difficult to play against."
Wilson Pirez, the man who first scouted Suarez
"I found him when he was nine playing kids' football. He had an incredible amount of ability for someone of that age. He was a wonderful boy, well behaved. You could always tell he was going to be a great player."

The other thing to come out of this is the underlining of the fact no cunt knows what the fuck is happening behind the scenes at Liverpool, not a whiff of this until Liverpool leaked it accidentally themselves this afternoon, and this is a pretty big story, when loads of people predicted he would walk.
Yet more evidence not to get too hysterical until the window SLAMS shut.

Sorry but we havnt extended his contract? Its still till 2016 now we are just paying him more?
errrrrrrm....

I guess it's securing him in the short-term, without committing ourselves to a longer deal that we might have to pay compensation on should we cash in. There's nothing to stop us extending it if he's happy and wants to. It's still until 2016, that's like another four seasons and he'll be 29.

What?
He was ALREADY on contract until 2016 right?
This isnt an anything is it?
Am i going mad?
Have we no just given a player more money to stay on a contract he was already obliged too?
Its great hes staying and not leaving, but could he not have just said that rather than us have to pay him more money for the same length deal?
I dont get it.
