Who are they?I still remember being asked if I supported Celtic or Rangers in primary school. I got laughed at when I said I don't know who those teams are, I support Liverpool.

The times lot in general are a little slimey, just get the impression.
Kenny would say no? No?You have to say though, if City offered to triple his wages, sold him a story about a 5 year project, building the club, and utlising the most expensive youth development project out there, but also with the biggest budget in world football if needed...isn't that the sort of thing that would turn anybody's head?

Rogers is an idiot if he leaves us for a 'bigger' club. Most of such clubs would have sacked him before Xmas.
I honestly don't think even Brendan knows how he'd react if he won something with us. There's a powder keg of vanity within him that only needs the rights sparks to turn him into a raving egomaniac, but at the same time he's a decent, earnest, thoughtful man. Getting to LFC was enough to make him want new teeth and a new physique, and girlfriend. Winning something? It could make him embrace the culture of this club so tightly he'll never want to leave, or it might make him start looking for something Barca-like. Hopefully we'll find out.
if you're happy to walk out on your wife for some younger blonde, then fair to say he'd have no qualms about leaving his employer if something else he fancied came along.
I think City might actually land Ancelotti next season if Real doesn't win the league this season. Even if they do, they might still sack him because it's what they do. Not sure who Real can turn to after that though, as they've probably hired and fired everyone already. I guess it's Benitez's turn at last. Or maybe they'll come for Rodgers. 😉

Macca, you always hit the right cords. It's not just your writing, but you totally profiled him correctly there.
I posted something a while back...at the height of the anti-Rodgers hyperbole...about him being the management equivalent of a raw 20 year old player with bags of skill, enthusiasm and potential but still young, relatively inexperienced and finding his way. He's going to make mistakes with transfers, selections, coaching, man-management and the media but his positives far outweigh his negatives so I'd rather he was learning his trade here with a view to him becoming the LFC manager he could be than see him pushed out and doing his thing somewhere else.I honestly don't think even Brendan knows how he'd react if he won something with us. He's like a word-midwife.

Erudite as always, hitting the nail on the head. I just wish he was less eager to to talk to all and sundry when we are doing well.
I'd have been struck off long before now!
