His 31m release clause is starting to look reasonable in this market. All over twitter that Utd poised to trigger the clause having had an opening bid rejected a few days ago.

21, technically excellent with added Gerrard-esque dynamism. Exactly the player most of us have been crying out for all summer to add to our midfield.

Please God don't let the mancs get him.

I'm non-plussed really, he's a talented player but I'm just pleased United and Arsenal have been fairly light on activity. Will they sign this lad or will it be Fellaini? Or both...

Really? He's going to be great and is exactly the type of player we're crying out for.

I'd be pissed.

Time to be very angry mate ...

[article=http://www.101greatgoals.com/blog/ander-herrera-has-agreed-to-man-united-move-sits-on-bilbao-bench-v-real-madrid-el-correo/]Spanish newspaper El Correo splashed their front page with the headline: Herrera da el si al United y queda a la espera (Herrera gives in to United and waits).

According to the paper, Manchester United have agreed personal terms with 24-year-old Herrera – a 5-year deal worth €4m per year – but David Moyes’ team are still negotiating the transfer fee with Athletic Bilbao.

Herrera has a €36m buyout clause locked into his contract, and Bilbao are pressing the Red Devils to pay as close to that fee as possible.

Whilst the sides haggle the final price, Bilbao appear resigned to losing Herrera imminently as they benched the Spanish international for Sunday’s early kick-off against Real Madrid. Herrera had started both of Bilbao’s opening two matches of the season.[/article]

Honestly don't see us bidding over €20m plus for a centre midfielder, not when we have shelled out €15m for Allen who's still on our books.

If he was any good, and spanish, Real or Barca woulda been all over him. He scores once or twice a season, which means he'll fit right into their current midfield.

SAD FACE;

Also a post to Oncy...

Oncy, trust me man, he's the real deal. Start watching him and he'll have you hard withing minutes with his movement. I love watching him play. He's like a mini Iniesta or Xavi, always moving, trying to dictate the play, trying to force the play etc. Lovely player. Want me to get the you tube vid out when he toyed with the england u-21's in the summer? I posted it a few times. I didn't see the game but he supposedly ran the show and scored against Barca this season too.
I don't know what the future holds for him. The national team might be a bridge too far just yet due to their plethora of senior midfielders but he's not just potential, he's got it already.

WHy is this to me?

I c&p'd it from a thread about two years ago. A few of us were raving about him back them.

I was just taking a trip down memory lane as I'm feeling sorry for myself with his proposed move to united.

Yeah- the Fellani deal goes tits up but they agree a fee for Osman = dream ticket

It might mean Moyes gets slaughtered by the fans too soon though.
