a.k.a. Alberto Moreno

Despite my annoyance with Brendan's latest fad formation the 3-4-1-2 one bit of good that has come of it has been Moreno getting further up the pitch as essentially a winger and rarely having to defend anyone 1 v 1.

He has been delivering some absolute quality balls in from the left and his pace is always a threat.

However, there hasn't really been much end product from his cameos on the wing. Is it a case of small sample size, should the new manager continue with Moreno in a more advanced role?

His offensive game seems to have improved considerably this season. Now if he could learn to defend in a back four, that'd be really nice.

He's a prime candidate for coaching, might be a bit of a yardstick for whoever takes over

He's done well since he came back into the team. He has a great attitude and is an aggressive sort. He's likeable. If he can improve his defending then great.

Delefou (Sp?) didn't get much joy from him and was replaced.

The encouraging thing is that he's working very hard and reacted in the best way to being dropped at the start of the season.

At half time the Sky pundits basically laid all the blame on him for the goal and exonerated Can.
