with carroll suarez and kuyt I don't see us going 1 up top again.
if suarez plays when he needs to be partnered by someone who will be a presence

When Suarez and Kuyt play, our movement up top is sensational, and not many teams can cope with that.

So i'd choose to bench Meireles for those games...and play a flat 4 of Downing, Adam, Lucas (or Gerrard when he is available) and Henderson behind them.

But if Kuyt is benched and Carroll starts up front, i want Meireles in the midfield, no matter what, to add that extra dimension so we move well as a team.

I'd probably go something like this..

..............Gerrard....Lucas (Or Adam)....Meireles.........

Suarez...............................................................Downing

.................................Carroll............................................
