A Double Booking (Bommie Night addendum)

@Piedro 's love life has been a constant discussion on 6cm over the years. Great stuff now that it's coming to a conclusion with an engagement and a wedding. Have your stag in Dublin or Galway 😉

Im sure it will carry on after I get hitched!

The Stag WEEK will be in Magaluf mate. I'll be having a stag night back in Liverpool for all who could not attend Maga. So I'll give you advance notice and you can get over with the boys.

Congrats Pete by the way.

On the first thing, I don't miss many games. I missed a good bit of the norwich game because I was on my way to Porto vs Benfica, which took about an hour to get to from where I was staying that night. It'd usually have to be a wedding, funeral or something work related for me to miss a game. I'm sure it'd be different if I had kids which I'd guess is the main reason people miss games.

Cheers Jules, very kind of you.

Pat - I showed this post to my missus last night and she didn't understand the phrase at all. Funny watching her try and work it out!

HAHAHAHA.

She is a cracker, congrats to you both.

In unrelated news there will be mourning service held at popworld this Saturday night with a candle vigil at 3:30am in memory of Pete's usual leaving time

It's dead fucking easy. Converted her to a red and took her to a few games, kids come along and they have to be reds then everyone's happy apart from arguing over which games they can come with me to.

Okay, Houston, we have a problem.

Our game tomorrow is at 6pm for some stupid fucking reason.

For those of us with kids that poses an issue, cos it's Bommie Night too.

The wife wants to go to a display, but I would prefer to buy some fireworks in, I reckon it's more exciting doing your own anyway, but she thinks it's just cos the match is on.

Pissed off!

There's only one solution. We'll have to build a time machine and travel back to persuade Guy to go into the houses of parliament a day later.

Surely it's Bonny/ie? As in Bonfire?
Not in Liverpool it's not. Bommie Night. Just cos.

I'm thinking I'm gonna ignore the missus, drag the patio heater out of semi retirement, rearrange the garden a bit, grab some burgers & sausages & do us all some tea we can eat easily outside at around 6pm, buy a box of mixed fireworks & some rockets, & do a few before we eat & some afterwards.

That way the kids all have a good time, some fun, & get to see fireworks up close like I did as a kid instead of a bloody display.

As an added bonus I'll get to watch the second half of the match!

Ha ha.

I'll take the most liveable city in the world for now.

Shame the voting doesn't take into account LFC matches or Melbourne wouldn't even make the top 100.

Ha my daughter is there atm and says it's an absolute shithole and Sydney pisses all over it - just saying.

I have got to the stage where I absolutely hate watching it unless I am alone which doesn't help on the very rare occasions I can go

Delete this quick before @StevieM sees it.

Sometimes places are great to visit, but are not always the best places to live and work.

Melbourne's kind of the opposite - great to live in, but unless you're in to food, wine, beer & sport - there isn't a fuckload to see.

They all sound like things your wife would make you do when instead you want to be watching sport, drinking beer or wine, or eating food.
Iconic buildings, beaches, shopping, theatre, museums, arty galleries and stuff like that.

So yeah - nothing important [emoji6]

I am keen to hear about all these iconic buildings in Melbourne that I somehow missed.

I meant what else is there in life!

Who gives a shit about beaches, shopping and the theatre?

OK, I can understand the iconic buildings and museums, although I doubt that there are any iconic buildings in Melbourne...

FFF, same dilemma. Missus wants to go to Sevvie park (sorry, Seffie park) and watch the fireworks at 7pm.

I think I'm fucked. I owe her a favour as I was supposed to see her tonight, but cancelled to go for a pint with the lads.

Shit.

I've sold Bex on the plan to have fireworks in ours.

Need to buy some tomorrow now, which will probably be a pain in the arse, agreed to let her mum come round & I'm cooking jacket spuds for us all.

Should be nice for the kids though, & I'll get to watch the second half of the match too.

You're well & truly missing the match though, you'll have to be there early to find a parking space, then walk into the park.

Don't try to park close to sefton park, we did that one year & sat crawling in traffic for almost an hour before we got clear of the park.

We are gonna go to lark lane for food 1st so will prob park on aigburth road. Might get the first half if I'm lucky... Fucked up royally by going for a pint tonight.

Enjoy your night, fireworks in the garden are better than any display. Lighting them yourself, no matter how shit they turn out to be, is fucking great!

Kids won't even know any different so that's the way to go mate!
