Yes indeed. And they play before arsenal next weekend so regardless of how the game goes tomorrow nite they'll have champions league to fight for. It's not over yet.

You're assuming we'll win our last two games mate :s
If Everton can't beat them, I don't know whether it's going to be worse losing it on points or goal difference. Losing it is losing it.
I don't know why, but I feel Everton will get a result, I feel it in my bones. But I'm not as confident we'll win our last 2. It'd be just our luck that newcastle have been playing bollocks for 2 months and they pull a game out of their arses.

I'm not convinced we'll beat palace

If I had a choice of games that Man City drop points in it would probably be after we play against Palace.
There were signs of nerves today with chances being snapped at that weren't as noticeable before.
With the pressure off I reckon we will beat Palace.
We should be good enough to do a Newcastle side that has been on holidays for the last month regardless

It's quite reasonable to think that all three teams will go into the final match of the season on 81 pts. For that to happen it would need:

City to draw with Everton and win at home to Villa (or vice versa).
Chelsea to beat Norwich at home.
Us to draw at Palace.

That won't be a day for faint hearts.

If that happens City will be massive favourites with gd.
Chelsea would still need a miracle.

- Martinez seems professional as they come and will badly want to finish as high as possible, they also seem to raise their game against bigger opponents
- Everton's team isn't primarily composed of Scousers, which may negate any "can't be arsed for Liverpool" effect that much
- Man City have historically struggled at Goodison Park:
'12-'13 - Everton 2-0 City
'11-'12 - Everton 1-0 City
'10-'11 - Everton 2-1 City
'09-'10 - Everton 2-0 City
- As mentioned, Everton could face not even qualifying for the UEFA Cup if they lose this and don't get a result against Hull away in their final game
- Last time Liverpool needed Everton to come through for them was at Elland Road when we hoped for a miracle result against Leeds United in the race for the champions league placings (2000?)..Everton grabbed a point.

Cheers.

Everton will have a go, don't worry about that, they're a good side.

Our worry is how well City turn up and play, cos they'll be simply too good for Everton if they really turn it on.

I can't see Everton doing it, if I'm honest. If we don't win it, I just hope it's not on goal difference.

How bad were Everton against Southampton? I think we're just trying to grasp any small hope we can here.

They could slip up against Everton. They could slip up against Villa. They could slip against West Ham.

We can't do anything about it so let's just beat Newcastle 19-0 and hope for the best.

Everton will not get fuck all from City now.... City have got the scent lads who are we kidding... im more worried about us getting turned over at Palace tbh.

Evertons injury list is phenomenal.
Baines, Distin, Jagielka, Mirelles, Pienaar, Oviedo, all out. Barry can't play against City either. It's a tall ask for them to get anything.

Hopefully some of them will be fit for the game..

No Barry though is a huge loss...

No chance of any of them being ready, especially against a team as potent and powerful as City. You need them all to be right on their game, and have legs until the 95th minute.

Although their is one important factor you forget..

Martinez... he has somewhat of a number over Man City..

He beat City with less of a Team with Wigan...

I'm gonna be in Paris next weekend, hoping i come back sunday night to good news and then we smash palace

*wakes up*

City have only won twice on Merseyside last 22 years and lost last 4 matches at Goodison.
Thats what I'm clinging to of hope.

Dont think Baines has been ruled out yet?
