As for his record at Bayern, I wouldn't make judgments based on numbers alone. Playing for one of the most dominant Bayern sides ever is going to give you opportunities. Tello managed 8 goals for Barca a couple seasons ago - some cracking finishes amongst them but it only tells a small part of the story.

Perhaps I'm overrating Sterling here but for me he's near enough got it all - pace, strength, technique and intelligence. By the age of 19 he'd played a key role in a title challenging side and showed that he can excel on either wing and of all positions, no.10.

For me, Shaqiri needs to be bona fide superstar to be easily better than Sterling right now and it doesn't feel like he is.

I don't watch loads of him no, I've seen a number of games he's played over the years, that's all. Sure it's fair to say he's scoring goals in one of the best sides in Europe, but he's actually playing for them which says a lot about his ability, and also the comment applies to Sterling, who was performing sensationally in a team orchestrated by Suarez and Sturridge last season, but now they're not there, he hasn't looked quite as devastating.

I think we fall into a trap with Sterling, he's a great player who could go on to be one of the best in the world, but most of us judge him on that potential, not the player he is now. He has flaws in his game which he's improving upon, his finishing/composure and his habit to drift out of games for a start, and sure he's going to be a monster player without doubt, I just feel Shaqiri is further along in his development at this moment in time.

Bojan was a coup in a sense in that he is a well known player, but his career has not progressed since leaving Barca.
