Xherdan Shaqiri

Shaqiri just looks work shy, I mentioned this the other day, he just doesn't look like a Rodgers type of player.

Hattrick for Shaqiri off some fantastic play by Drmic.

Both very talented, but Shaqiri is an absolute steal for 15M. No idea why we'd even consider spending double that amount on Lallana if he's available at that fee.

Yeah it's only Honduras but he's been brilliant tonight.
Anything the Swiss done well he was at the heart of it.

oh xherdan when you score like that, you make the crowd go mad, you are swiss, and tiny, shaqiri shariri

ok it needs some work....

Xherdan Shaqiri prepares to pack his bags, the Premier League appears to be in his future. The Swiss footballer, who scored three goals today in the World Cup, is liked by Milan and Roma, but Liverpool has the advantage over the other teams. Shaqiri’s brother, who is also his agent is currently in England to meet with Liverpool’s management and discuss the economic details of the contract. His departure from Bayern Munich is close, Shaqiri appears to be heading to the Premier League.

Are you quoting yourself? X
Ha.
Ive been on form for a while now mate. Aquilani, Carroll debacles seem a long time ago.
Shaqiri is great ive wanted him for a loooooong time. Him and griezmann.
I await us signing fucking James Milner.

I like Milner.

I find Milner a strange one. Everybody seems to not rate Milner. But my eyes see something different, I have rated him and wanted him since his Newcastle days. There he was a slightly goal shy attacking mid/winger but he was immensely hard working and clearly had good technique. At Aston Villa I think he flourished as a centre midfielder who competed both ways. At Man City he has mainly been shunted out wide but has preformed a very good job for the team. I prefer him as a box to box cm. I'd rather sign a different winger but Milner would make the squad better and even the first team better on some nights.

See your point, but he's a wide midfielder for me. He'd probably be really good on the inside-right of a diamond too.

Works really fucking hard, has a great attitude, can score a goal, create a goal, and links the play really well between midfield and attack. I'd take him for sure, but he'd probably cost a fortune.

Anyway, I'm not even sure why I'm bothering with this, we'll never sign Milner.

Good player though.

Anyway, back to Shaqiri.

Anyone else slightly put off by the fact that he shuffles?? He just looks like a little barrel shuffling around the pitch?

He's obviously quality, but there's something about that thick-arsed shuffle run he does that's putting me off.

His little legs remind me of Messi when he's at top speed though. His body is so committed to being stumpy even his head gets in on the act.

Good player though.

When you watch him for City, he usually does what everyone around him doesn't (usually when they are having a bad game), he'll be less flashy, no nonsense, but what he does do is put in a good pass or a cross that actually picks someone out in a dangerous position, as opposed to be blessed with all the skill and ability in the World, and producing FA.

England shouldn't be a barometer of anything, but whenever he's played for England, he looks well out of his depth, he's a good player though and I don't think he would cost a fortune, at this stage.
