I really wonder -- although I hope it doesn't come down to this -- that if no defensive reinforcement comes in and Skrtel is either sold or unavailable, and Wisdom has to step up, could this be the making or undoing of his development? Only one way to find out I guess.

Just saw Rodgers' interview. Says he wants to send Wisdom out on loan, and get someone with more experience to bolster the defensive ranks. That (encouragingly) does not sound like Ilori.

He also mentions that he wanted to send Coates out on loan. That does seem to me that we're looking to send out the kids on loan, and buy a more experienced defender.

Between Kelly and McLaughlin I think we're OK for cover at RB. Agger/Cissokho/Henderson are all surprisingly decent desperation options too.

I think it's more important to try and get Wisdom to develop as a central defender at this point
