good on the lad, he's clearly recognised he needed to be stronger. now if only he got some self belief and confidence he might just make the step up.

the first time i saw him was as a sub in the derby when gerrard was subbed. he's faded considerably since then as the self doubting has crept in.

honestly, not for one minute do i think any of us want him to fail. time for a deep breath lucas lad and play your game. last chance i think this season for him

We're going to need him to take it up a notch, especially until Aquilani is back. Not entirely convinced he'll be good enough to fill the gap but I do think he's going to be considerably better than last year.
