I didnt get to see the game but it sounds like we just couldn't finish again.

What else needs changing?

We created so many chances its difficult to actually be screaming for changes.
Johnson and Lucas were poor.

In the end not enough quality in front of goal. When Suarez gets desperate for goals he goes for power, it didnt work today.

It seems like Plan A is not a very good plan at the minute

Why is it not? We're still playing good foooball and creating loads of chances.

As always, our decision-making and finishing needs to improve otherwise playing good football is a waste of fucking time.

The worrying thing that Rodgers needs to adress is that if we dont lead at ht, we've won 2 games by scoring in the 2nd half and getting the 3 points.

When we havent scored around the 65-70 mins mark, you just know we'll draw or lose.
Looks like the players have the exact same menatlity.

The worrying thing is he's needed to address this for months now and he still doesn't seem to have come close to solving it. The last manager to struggle with the problem was damned for his supposed tactical incompetence. What's this one's excuse?

God knows. I'd blame someone for moving the goalposts and making the goals smaller.

What would you suggest as the solution?

This is the kind of thing that Wilsons article earlier in the week was getting at.

We are poor tactically and the players look like they've given up (well, a few of them do anyways).

We're just not very good.

I dont think they've given up, but there are certainlyba few that have booked their holidays already

I have to follow up on the earlier post - possibly because of me being from the older generation.

What makes this season from Rodgers different from the previous one under Kenny. That is apart from the two finals.

Scored more goals, got more points? 1 less trophy though.

Nothing really.

6 more points, 12 more goals scored, 1 place higher in the league table, reducing the average age to the lowest in the league, clearing out deadwood and signing some good young players, reducing our total bloated wage bill and generally playing some good attacking football.
1 less throphy mind.

Rodgers is starting to remind me of keegan. Very little tactical ability and just all out attack. When is the last time rodgers was able to change a game with his tactical acumen? He just has one way of playing.

What would you have changed today?

Barcelona must be shit then - you know what with those tactics that never change and no big man on the bench for plan B.

I wouldn't try to draw any deep conclusions from that match. It was just one of those days. Reading's keeper said that it was the best game he had ever played.

The only real conclusion from this season is that we've improved, just not by that much. Better spring board for next season mind, so a teeny weeny little flame of hope is there.

This is absolutely on the money.

They clearly needed a change against Chelsea last season. There's no value in using them to excuse dogmatism.

Barcelona are the only team in Europe who can get away with it and that's because of a certain Messi. We're not Barcelona and never will be.
