When were you wrong?

We all get it wrong sometimes. I honestly thought Rodgers had something about him and we would go forward with him at the helm.
Wolands made some whoppers in his time. So what have you got wrong in the last 10 years connected to LFC.
I think I saw sometime back when someone said "managers don't make a difference", I can't remember who said it but does that person now regret his comments?

I was really worried about our midfield this season probably up to the third game of the season. I still think we need to improve but Lallana has been a revelation and Henderson - even if he isn't really a natural defensive midfielder - has been very good. Klopp for the win.

Baptista. I wanted us to sign him whilst he was Sevilla. I don't know whether it was the Real Madrid experience that ruined him, going to the wrong team in Arsenal or just him being a flash in the pan but I'm glad we didn't go all out to get him as I thought we should!

1) Lallana - in the middle
2) Firminio - really hated him and could not understand the money spent on that guy.
3) Gini - started to see his qualities proper after 4 games.
4) Lucas in defense - he has a career their.
5) Ibe - thought he could be better than Sterling
6) Sturridge - Klopp is right to bench him
7) Henderson - thought he was shit for a long time until I realized that him not being in the Chelsea game is why we lost the title.
8) Thinking Rodgers was the main man in that season but realizing it was the sheer will of Suarez that made us challenge and galvanize the rest of the team.

So many times I have been wrong- it is embarrassing now.

Always - but that's a philosophical answer. I have had fun trying to get it right though ;-)

Diego Costa - I thought he would be a flop in England. Rodgers - made too many excuses for him while other people rightly pointed out that he doesn't know how build a defense. Thought Lucas would leave this summer for sure...

Firmino and Benteke. But I offset those by making early and unpopular calls on Aquilani and Markovic.

Downing and Aquilani. Massive whoppers. Both the players and the belief in them

Balotelli - I thought he'd come through.

Le Tallent - if only he had his attitude today when he was 16.

3 years ago - I thought we'd win the league.

I initially thought Beardsley was overvalued & would not be good for us

In my defence I think he was 2.5X the price of Barnes who started like a house on fire, while Beardsley was really only a steadily combusting shed in the first few games

I thought Joe Allen would be great for us.

I thought Momo Sissoko was a monster of a central midfielder, until he lost the ability to find a teammate 5 yards away.

When we first signed Finnan I thought he was bang average

I thought that in Mark Gonzales we'd found a real hidden gem who would become an incredible winger for us.

I thought Henderson would be a disaster at DM

I predicted City to finish outside the top four this season and Pep to be found out as the attention seeking egotist he really is, and whilst they've stuttered, he's clearly got them playing alright and looked very good going forward.

I said Silva was a Spanish lightweight fancy Dan who'd do nothing in England. I thought Kewell was the missing piece of the jigsaw. Loads of youth have been championed beyond what they deserved too....

We didn't 'find' Gonzales though did we? He was thrown in to one of the worst transfer deals in our history.

This summer, on Mane.

I was massively meh about it and didn't expect him to contribute anything like he has done.

My wrongness goes back longer than the OP's 10 years suggestion. For about 15 years after 1990 I thought we'd win the League every year.
