Would you take him on the cheap?

Apparently on his way out of Juve and we could use a goal-fox-stand-in for Torres.

I'd be tempted although he's an old, old chap at around my age.

31.

No, I would rather take a chance on a young player who's 'good' but can improve. Trezeguet is what he is, a competant aging striker who may not even adapt to the prem.

Nor is he a grafter like Torres, running defences ragged even when he's not directly going for goal. He's much more a fox-in-the-box kind of player. Good value for someone maybe, but not LFC methinks.

for less than 5 mill, deffo.

Yup. 3-5mill on some mickey mouse wages. No problemo. Or we could do a straight swap with Voronin for them.

Was thinking along the same lines, but if we're struggling to find someone and he's relatively cheap, it would be a decent enough gamble.

I'd rather not but then again I've barely seen him play this season, hows he done?
no, wouldnt touch him with a barge pole.

I'd rather a million strikers over him.
A million strikers would be nice but I'd settle for one good one.

Owen would be better?

Possibly, but I wouldn't have that turkey back either.

Saviola.

131 goals in 220 games for Juve.
34 goals in 71 games for France.
He's been injured for nearly all of this season, last season though he scored 20 in 39 games.

Quite simply; He has a proven history of scoring goals all the fucking time, at the highest level.

If he came to us, he'd score. If it were an option, we should jump at the chance.

I've always been a fan.

I've always kind of liked him as player too and those stats surely underlines that he'll score you goals.

I wonder if he'll go for a shocker and catch us all off guard - by buying NO shit this summer?

*pinches mors*

*mors wakes up and goes "ah fuck"*

Juventus president Giovanni Cobolli Gigli has stated that Amauri is not for sale while admitting David Trezeguet could leave.

Striker Amauri has been linked with the likes of Premier League side Chelsea and managerless AC Milan.

But Juve intend to keep the 29-year-old, who signed for the Old Lady from Palermo last year.

"Amauri? He remains at Juventus," said Gigli.

Experienced forward Trezeguet, meanwhile, recently told skysports.com he will leave Juve if he receives the right offer.

It has been suggested the Frenchman could return to his homeland, and Gigli confirmed an exit could be in the offing.

He said: "Trezeguet will be put on the market only if there are really good offers, otherwise we will keep him.

"I think Trezeguet is a strong and mature player and he is capable of playing for another two seasons in a great way."

Good shout. I wouldn't mind him at all. He's easily got a couple of years left in him.

Definitely a much, much better option that Voronin, Ngog, Babel, Tuncay and El Zhar.

Not sure about Tuncay. Unlike Trez, who can only play a certain way, Tuncay is versatile and creative, can play up front, behind the striker or on the wing. And unlike Trez, he is a high energy player and works very hard.

yea tuncay was so good they got relegated.

trezeget is a class above ever striker we have bar torres and would be amazing to see him play alongside torres or lead the line when torres is injured/rested.
