Now, now sugar mouth.

So to be clear, what we've established is:
  • Your argument has been booted all around this thread by Mark
  • You're INCREDIBLY selective with what constitutes viable evidence to support a standpoint
  • Even when you've got some semi-coherent points, you still come across like a whiny bitch

I'm interested Peter, do you go to many matches, or interact with many Liverpool fans in the real world? Or do you just stomp about at home complaining about how the peasants online don't understand the nuances of your genius-based considerations?

I don't have to answer to the likes of you.

Has anyone told Tony Barret how feisty he makes people on here?

I hadn't noticed you rising above it. I must have been blinded by your wit.

Look mate, I don't know why you keep trying to draw me into an argument - it must be pretty clear to others what you're up to, in spite of your 'who, me, guv' protestations - but it's just a bore. You're on ignore from now on. Now take your anti-depressants and get on with something more worthwhile, you sad little tit.

Now I'm a big fan of Barrett in general, but this article is complete bollocks. Henderson has been delivering crosses like that season after season, Sturridge has scored many goals off balls like the one he played yesterday, like wise Sterling has missed many a sitter off of that type of ball. It's almost like it's become ingrained in the fans and medias mind that any form of cross or aerial ball we play now it's purely because of Benteke. The only thing thats really changed about our play is that Mignolet looks to play it long, that's it.

How shit is ming at that though?

He should spend an hour a day trying to hit targets fifty sixty and seventy yards away.

"- a deep cross from the left to the far post by Jordan Henderson - that was most revealing: Liverpool were showing the signs of how to bring the best out of the club's second most expensive signing in history."

Fuck me Barrett, it was a short corner.

I'm in the Sander Westerveld mindset with Ming...just pleasantly surprised when he doesn't jam it into his own net at every available opportunity. His long kicking and set up at crosses is frankly staggering.

"Mindset" is the word though. For much of last season those fears would have been entirely justified, but he'd come on a ton by the end of the season.

Completely right JJ - the prejudices are deep seated, and it takes quite a while to get over them.

I feel it when those bobbly shots come in from 25yrds plus that are going straight at him; I get all jittery and then am over the moon when he inevitably gathers it cleanly. Its only afterwards that I think "actually, Ming has given you no reason to think he cant deal with that stuff...". I suppose just one away game in Europe last season, and the reflected lack of confidence in his overall keeping from what I still believe to be not top 6 standard Goalkeeping of crosses.
