Tom Ince

If I remember it correctly he gave Robbo, Flanno and Sterling a chance.
Don't think Suso got a chance, neither did Wisdom.
I can't say that I'm absolutely certain that Kenny wouldnt give young Tom a chance but I just don't see it and I guess Tom didn't either. Hence...Blackpool.

Here's a shock for you - time still existed at that stage and Suso and Wisdom were - wait for it - A YEAR YOUNGER! We've been through all of this and you know it. Was Wisdom ready two years ago? Not quite, and I don't recall you claiming otherwise. Was he ready last season? More than most of us expected. And as for Ince - again, I cannot believe you saw him play for the reserves and honestly thought, 'Wow, HE'S ready!' He was slouching around like Big Billy Bollocks rarely bothering to break into a sweat. He left because he has inherited his Dad's view that the world should let him do as he pleases when he wants or he's not going to play.

Well, no I didn't think Ince was that good to be honest.

Regarding Flanno v Wisdom, I don't really see what Kenny saw in Flanno.

Sky Sports sources understand Crystal Palace, Swansea City and Cardiff City have all shown strong interest in Blackpool star Tom Ince.

The winger would likely cost in the region of £8million and has long been attracting the eye of Premier League clubs, including former club Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur.

But top-flight Swansea along with Championship winners Cardiff and play-off victors Palace are now also shown to be considering a move.

Palace boss Ian Holloway is thought to view Ince as an ideal replacement for Wilfried Zaha, who has moved to Manchester United, after managing the 21-year-old at Blackpool.

Ince scored 18 goals as Blackpool finished 15th in the Championship in 2012/13 and he was recently involved in England's disappointing European Under 21 Championship campaign.

The sell on fee will come in handy for us.

What, apart from his dad being his best mate and the massive brown paper bag that his contract generated?

Wait what...Flanagan is on 20k a week?

And his father is Kenny's best friend?

Explains alot.

Not the fact that the family ranted about Kenny non-stop after he dropped Flanno once a senior player was fit. Don't be so gullible.

I don't think we should sign Ince. He's a decent player, and has up side but we can get better for what someone will end up paying for him (8 million), and we'll get the sell on fee. We're set on the flanks imo with Coutinho, Downing, Aspas, Ibe, Sterling and if needed, Henderson. WE need to focus on a big time DM, CB and ST/GK if we lose Suarez/Reina

The Flans and Dalglish have been close for ages. They've been in business for years and have had family holidays together back well before Dalglish was back at the club.

I agree. We've moved on. Ince is a decent young player who has yet to learn how to cope with a well-organised defence. Give him some mi-table championship team and he'll look very lively, but he has loads still to learn and, contrary to his own view, he won't be given the time to learn those things at a top club.

I know, but that's not the same thing as being co-criminals with bungs.

Try telling Thomas Ince he lacks hunger.

Try telling the Blackpool winger he’d rather focus on tattoos than tactics.

Ince is as frustrated as everyone else by his England side’s humiliating, played-three, lost-three exit from the European Under-21 Championship currently being played in Israel.

But the 21-year-old son of former England captain Paul was bemused to hear his - and his team-mates’ - desire being questioned.

“I left the reserves at Liverpool to play first-team football on loan at Notts County.” said Ince junior, recently voted the Championship's Player of the Year.

“I went to play alongside grown men who played week in, week out to put food on the table for their families and all the rest of it.

“After I’d had that four- or five-month loan spell there I went back to Liverpool, I sat down with my Dad and I said: ‘Do you know what? I need more of that.’

“I don’t think that’s a lack of desire. I had the odd occasion where I would go up to Melwood and train with Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher. I could have signed an extended three-year contract, stayed at Liverpool and not played.

“But I wanted to work hard. I wanted to go out and play. At that point, Ian Holloway, the Blackpool manager at the time, gave me the chance to express myself and I took it. I will always be grateful for that.”

As for caring more about tattoos, Ince smiled: “I don’t have one! I think if I had a tattoo, my dad would probably kill me!”

Stuart Pearce’s youngsters have been buried under an avalanche of negative articles after losing to Italy, Norway and even hosts Israel, while scoring just one goal - a penalty - in the process.

The poor showing has led to a widespread belief that the players have been hyped up far too soon.

But Ince continued: “I don’t think it’s a case of us telling ourselves we are this and that. It was just the case that we didn’t turn up.

“We would be the first players to hold our hands up, but as far as people questioning the hunger and the desire to play in a major tournament and win it... no, I don’t think that’s the case at all.

“Look at the campaign that this England Under-21 side has gone through over the last two years to actually get to the Euros - we won nearly every game and we didn’t concede that many goals.

“It's very difficult for certain players.

“Look at the likes of Wilfried Zaha, who has had a very long season. He went to the Play-Off Final with Crystal Palace then comes to the Euros.

“Look at Danny Rose, who had a tough season at Sunderland [on loan from Spurs], who were fighting relegation.

“I wouldn’t say it’s down to tiredness, but it has been a long season for a lot of the players. Then factor in the travelling and the fact that the games come so quickly.

“Maybe we were not ready for all of that. I don’t know.

“All we can do is reflect on it and say that we need to do a lot better. Every single player knows that.”

Pearce’s position has been called into question, and talks with the FA are planned. But Ince has backed him to stay in his job.

He went on: “I’ve only had seven caps for the Under-21s.

“It was only really late on that I managed to work with him. But being an ex-player himself - and a good one - it is great to be under his management and I know a lot of the young players in the squad would want to be under his management again.”

It says a great deal for the Tangerines’ wideman that he has stepped out of the shadow of his father and is seen as a rising star in his own right.

His 18 goals, combined with his consistent performances, saw him voted Championship Young Player of the Year for the 2012-2013 campaign.

He is now expected to move to the Premier League, and is being linked with Liverpool (the club he left to join Blackpool, Tottenham, Crystal Palace,Cardiff and Swansea.

He went on: “I am going to go on holiday. When I get back in a few weeks, I’ll sit down with my dad and the chairman and go from there.

“If I am still a Blackpool player next season I will give 110 per cent - more than I did last season. I’ll be trying to get Blackpool back to where they should be - challenging at the top end of the division.

“If not, and I move on, then I have to make sure it’s the right club for me and the right time to go. Me and my dad have always said that it’s about timing, making sure I am taking the right step and not ending up at a team where you’re not going to play in the majority of games.

“I don’t expect, at 21, to play week-in, week-out at any Premier League club. There is no guarantee in football you are going to play at any club.

“I just want to make sure that I don’t stop my development. I want to make sure I keep playing and keep enjoying my football.”

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...e-plan-beat-Swansea-City-Bafetimbi-Gomis.html

Cardiff have agreed to meet Blackpool’s £8million asking price for winger Tom Ince but face competition from rivals Swansea for Lyon striker Bafetimbi Gomis.

The Premier League newcomers are prepared to pay the figure Blackpool quoted to Crystal Palace for Ince, which includes a guaranteed fee up front plus add-ons. It is still far from certain that Ince will move to South Wales, however, with Liverpool having an option to match any bid for him under the terms of his move to Blackpool from Anfield two years ago.

Liverpool also have a 35 per cent sell-on clause which means they could sign the 21-year-old for an initial figure of just over £5m. There has been less interest in Ince’s Blackpool team-mate Matt Phillips, however, with Hull the only club to make an enquiry.

Hopefully Blackpool sells him for as high a price as possible. Doubt we're due any share from add-ons. Think the sell-on clause applies to initial fee received only. I might be wrong though.

In that case I think I'd sell him for £1 and additional £7.999.999 after 1 matches(or alternatively 3 months at the club).

😛 Remember reading it somewhere. To be honest, I won't be surprised if Blackpool try to exploit that. Of cos, not that ridiculously, if that loophole does exist. (On a sidenote, Porto lowered their valuation for Moutinho in the double deal package to Monaco so as to lower the sell on fee Sporting could get from the sales.)

Yeah that was such blatant exploitation of the rules I'm surprised if Spoting doesn't challenge it. Otherwise teams could just sign a bum from the streets for a few quid and add him to the deal every time someone is selling a player with a sell on clause.

I could have signed an extended three-year contract, stayed at Liverpool and not played.

Or you could have stayed and actually forced your way into contention, you solipsistic twat.

This is harsh, doubt he would have got the game to develop if he stayed.

Why not? Sterling earned a chance. Wisdom earned a chance. Sinclair and Ibe earned a chance. The point with Ince was he didn't want to earn a chance, he just expected to be picked. His commitment was practically non-existent. In the same side as Sterling, while Sterling was working non-stop and straining to impress, Ince strutted around like a peacock in a pigsty. It's not harsh to criticise him, it's precisely what he deserves.

That's cus of our current manager has trusted the youngsters, doubt he would would have got it under hodge and kenny.

Sterling did. I'm just not going to excuse this Guvnor MkII, he's nowhere near as good as he thinks he is and his attitude stank.
