Todays Games - Week 4

Isco is a brilliant footballer. Wouldnt surprise me if the Real fans feel like Ozil who after this season.

Isco is great ... City would have had a tough justifying playing Silva if he had signed for them - he's that good.

villareal should have scored there ...

Diego Lopez is really playing well ... Casillas will be on another team come Jan I think ... He can't risk his (most likely) last world cup as a starter for Spain ...

It's amazing how good players are now looking for penos ... Di Maria had a great opportunity to shoot, decided to dribble and throw his body into the contact in a way that looked 100% penalty in real motion. When they slowed it down, you see it clearly that it's all he's looking for ...

Missed the game. Pleased that Real dropped points. Displeased that Bale scored - I badly want him to fail.

Meanwhile A.Madrid have won four on the bounce. They could be (perhaps not so) dark horses for the title this year. They look pretty good.

ok it's well established here that i know fuck all about football ...so tell me, is bale the real deal (no pun intended) ? is he going to be up there with the modern greats , figo , zidane , the real ronaldo etc etc ? i'd still have suarez ahead of him .

I thought Bale was good tbh. Now that he's gone from Spurs I hope he does well for Real.

Just caught match of the day and watched the Gooners game ... They should have been up 4 (Walcott had 3 really good chances)-0 at half time, and played well ... Sunderland equalized straight after half time and dominated them until Ramsey scored ... Then the ref screwed up royally on Altidore's goal (advantage not given) and Arsenal took their next chance to win. It was such a bad call - and to hear Wenger rationalizing it makes it even more obvious how bad it is. Arsenal will be good, as usual, when attacking ... Their defense, and goalie, are average at best.

Anyone see Di Canio's interview post game? Considering the referee made a major howler he was pretty respectful. Funny though that the ref sent him off, because Di Canio's asked him to, albeit Di Canio was joking! I can copy and paste it cos I'm on the iPad it's on the BBC sport section.

The Special Once. Chelseas worst start ever under Abramovitch after 4 games.

That is surprising but doesn't matter much....It's very early doors...

They've won the easy-ish home games in Hull and Villa ( luckily) and had 2 very tough aways in Utd and Everton. From what I saw of the Everton game they were unlucky and really knocked on the door..

That aside IF ( as in please God let it be true) IF we can win tomorrow, it will be nice to be 5 points up on them... Cannot remember the last time....anyway... its just a possibility anyway... not likely etc etc etc....

I wonder if Everton might have a good season. Martinez has inherited a side with excellent defensive qualities, and if he get them playing football, especially following his decent business in the transfer window, they might do well. Though it pains me to say it.

The Spanish Liverpool eh?

yup ... thought that too ... with Lukaku leading the line as Jelavic isn't in his class, they are a dark horse for 4th place

How was the Arsenal defender not shown red for the foul on Altidore? Wasn't he the last man, denying him a goal-scoring opportunity?

Yes, but the tit that is Atkinson employed his super arrogance, and decided that even though he'd just bummed them out of a goal cos he doesn't know when to blow a whistle, he also thinks that the ball ending up in the back of the net has no bearing on what constitutes a 'goal scoring opportunity'.

I know officiating at this level can't be particularly easy, but this tool has always been a liability and is responsible for some crazy calls over the last few years, surely it's time the cunt was sent packing to league 2 or something.

if bale failed at Madrid, that would be Suarez off to Bernabue in January😀

Yep...but as that is about three positions behind where we are going to finish, we shouldn't really concern ourselves with what the minnow might do..
