Any hope for either Arsenal or Man City to progress to the last eight of the Champions league?
I hope not but if Premiership teams continue to be this shit in Europe do we run the risk of losing a place in the Champions league?

That's fifty euro for @Rosco then.

Arsenal putting Monaco under pressure but still nil all after thirty minutes

I simply can't believe that I prefer TV3's commentary to that of ITV
😱 😱 😱

I hope Arenal get through. They're never gonna win it but it might knacker them a bit.

It does feel like a win/win but to be honest I am never truely comfortable until they are all out.
In truth any one can win it from here on in.
We of all people should know that.
Having watched Di Matteo's Chelsea win it somehow.

I'd fucking hate to have Ozil at Liverpool if he got on like he does for Arsenal. He took that freekick and didn't move more than five yards in the next 30 seconds despite Monaco possibly breaking and Arsenal winning it back and hoofing it forward.

0-2
Gooners are going to go through when they score another.
This seems like their Olympiakos moment

Hopefully the disappointment from tonight will knock the stuffing out of them a bit as well... they've always looked the business when things are going well; not so much when they have to fight.

So very Arsenal. Gallant losers again.

They've bowed out at the last 16 stage for 5 consecutive years. And Wenger hasn't won it in 17 attempts.

Still, they've debt-free and have a lovely stadium! Engrave that you cunts.

It doesn't seem to me that they are? At least not in the last Swiss Ramble article on this (Sep 2014). A huge part of it can be crossed out by their large cash balance, but until they do finish repaying the debt, they still owed 240m in debt (gross) at that time.

For those curious - http://swissramble.blogspot.sg/2014/09/arsenal-money-changes-everything.html

To be honest Aarsenal deserved to go through. I think Monaco had only 3 shots in the match ? Might be wrong there but it wasn't many and I don't remember one on target. Arsenal played some lovely football ... until they reached the massed ranks of the Monacaques, it seemed like there was never less that 7 or 8 of them in the box ! Right at the end of the first half Sanchez was denied a definite penalty and given a yellow card instead. Big call.

I'd have preferred Arsenal to go through, another 2 games in the quarters before valiantly losing may have been greatly beneficial to our attempts to overhaul them.

Good game anyway, full of tension, the Monaco fans were as nervous as fuck all match, nail-biting stuff.

It amazes me he hasn't been sacked yet.

Yes he has done some amazing things for& won the league title a few times .. but surely Arsenal's priority would be Champions League above anything else since it's the only silverware they are yet to win?

No chance under Wenger.

Good. Worst thing that happened to football for a long time, allowing finishing 4th to be seen as some sort of achievement.

Gooners lose! What a delight!!! Hoof that, you fecking feckers!

Woke up smiling. Monaco were woeful but I have to say the only thing better than the Arse going out is them now specialising in going out every year by one goal. They are pathetic.

He must stay. He's convinced everyone that finishing 4th every year then going out limply in the CL is an achievement. Funny as fuck. Oh and I'd NEVER tire of punching Giroud in his stupid face.

Can't really disagree with this .. except I'd have Aguero in above Neymar. Neymar is a real show pony and only as successful as he is because of those around him. IMHO of course.

Man City getting totally overrun by Barca.
Only surprise so far is it is still goal less after ten minutes
