Totally agree @bluebell - we need a CDM/Controller (or whatever the fuck those overpriced players are now), and we need to bring in a defender - from what we have seen the two we have in Gomez and Q are just not good enough depending on the opposition, and at the same time we seriously have to consider the fact that VVD cannot continue to play so many games continuously. It's just fucking stupid.

Atalanta were demanding ~50M for Scalvini in the summer when United were desperate. I'll assume £10M of that was dickhead United tax and suggest him. 7 caps already for Italy, 20 years old, 6ft 4. If we want a young, RCB who can 'win his duals' then he's on any list if SCM can ignore his passport.

Has been mentioned before. Taking a punt on £10m talent is one thing but £40m for an Italian is way too risky for me unless its bastoni but he isn't going anywhere. Loic Bady, Hincapie, and Sango of Monaco all would cost around 25-50m
