At least, if he comes, the usual "I was a boyhood Red" stuff will be true.

Ha, they've been kidding with this Osman thing on YNWA for a couple of days. Must be from there.

Representatives of Fernando Torres will be honored guests of the "Liverpool" tomorrow during the game against "Manchester City".

According to still unconfirmed, but reliable information from one of my sources, the deal for the Spanish striker can be accomplished before the next home games of the season which is on January 14 against the "Stoke".

The deal is expected to be worth between 20 and 25 million pounds, most likely the payment will be divided into several parts.

Darren Bent remains a plan "B" for "Liverpool" if negotiations fail Torres.

Hmm Carrols ex manager been saying he'd have him back, say we let him go for 25M and lose 10M on the deal, and we get Torres for 20M and gain 30M on that deal, Barcodes would be 10M up, we'd be 20M up and Chelsea would be 30M down, would be funny no?

Biggest stumbling block will be Derek Llambias who thinks Carroll's "worth f*** all". :-[

[/quote] A mate on FB put in with a lot of interest, probably a sack shit but stranger things have happened in football.

I'm not gonna lie, if we signed Torres back for 20mil, I wouldn't be too upset. We'd be as we were with the addition for Carroll, who would then effectively be free...right? That works, doesn't it?

Carroll would have cost us 5M.

About what he's worth.

Winning

Pretty much (down 5 million, ignoring signing on fees and all the stuff we normally ignore when taking about transfers).

A year ago I would have said "No way will this happen because we have a Director of Football now" but Comoli has been such a fucking disappointment that I actually think re-signing Torres is pretty much his level of strategic thinking.

So instead, I'm gonna say that Dalglish would never agree to take Torres back.

So long as you no longer think of Suarez as 'free', and don't mind paying 22M for cheatey, bitey, divey, racists.

(Jokes)

Unless there's a Suarez/Torres swap. That would allow both Chelsea and Liverpool to save face and claim a good deal.

no one would sunny. gene is doing his jokes.

I would swap. I don't think keeping Suarez is good for the club. This might be a good way out for everyone.

He might fit in with the Chelsea club branding a bit better. A brand led by the great EBJT
