Borini also needs to look a bit sharper in front of the onion bag. He looks just as flustered when presented with a scoring chance as every other player so far.
Having control of the game. Having 2 good chances (Borini) and a few half chances (Shelvey, Suarez) and a few other attempts.
Then going a goal down to the first Sunderland attack due to a mistake by 2 international experienced defenders.
That's a little unlucky although I agree we should have taken our chances as well as defend better.

We've not taken our chances. They have. It's not luck. A beach ball is luck. A dodgy decision by the referee (not players) is luck.

Agree with Barnes, should have been a penalty for Suarez, and if not, defo not a yellow card.
But Swansea players were good enough? It just takes some time. And there is very little wrong with the "way" we have played. We have lacked execution at both ends, not tactics.

I agree with you. But unfortunately execution is the only thing that counts at the end of the day. Especially if there's no patience.
Absolutely, execution is what counts and it will get better if the players get used to this way of playing. It seems like our players are always surprised when they get a goal scoring chance. Eventually, I would hope they start to expect and anticipate these chances and bury them.
I disagree, We have some very mediocre players and a captain who is well past his best. Our defence has gone to shite, it seems every goal we concede is an error by one of our players. Anyway, come on you reds....

Well it's much better performance than our last visit to Sunderland although that's not saying much.

Gerrard can play in any system in the world given a little bit of time. Skrtel was suspect for the goal, but has nothing to do with the system. Kelly? perhaps, but I have not seen what he has done wrong today.
