Suarez v the top three

Like I said in the match thread, Suarez is wasted on the right side of the pitch.

He isnt. His staring position has nothing to do with not scoring in the last 3 games. That said all our front 3 interchange during the game so its not like he's hugging the line out wide right for 90 mins.

And yesterday when he passed a long way forward to Studge and then was the first one to catch up with him outside their area.

Close but no cigar..... He defo takes it slow now with his big contract!

I meant his record breaking pace with regard to goals scored.

At the turn of the year people were talking of him hitting 40

My buddy Glock is back!

If Suarez creates space allowing Sturridge to score goals, thats good enough for me

Hey mate! How are you?

Asolutely right! Suarez is a complete striker! No other striker as complete as him. You can put in at right back and he'll fucking score or assist!

Fucking pussies always complaining! *shakes head*

Suarez just hasn't had the luck. Saying that he is taking it easy is a lazy piss taking comment. Nobody works harder.

Especially in the games vs Arsenal, I think Koscielney has done a v good job of marking him and trying to get in his head. I noticed it in the first game at the Emirates and also again yesterday. I still think he has been hugely influential during these games but just not getting the goals. I think this theory will be shown to be incorrect by the end of the season when we've played Chelsea and City again.

Why would you sell him?

Surely anyone with the best interests of LFC at heart wouldn't ever want to see him go.

Because, he's probably going to leave at some stage, so rather sell him at the point where he's worth the most, and replace him with three or four players, who may collectively add more to the team.

But that only makes sense if the money is right, if nobody is offering enough, then we should keep him.

I'd obviously be delighted if he committed to us for 10 years (maybe less so if we had to pay him 300k a week), but I just don't think he will.

I understand what you are saying but don't agree with it at all.

What money we would get for him means fuck all to me, screw turning into the Arsenal fan accountants, i want to see the best players playing for Liverpool and want the club to have the best possible chance of winning things, what happens when Coutinho reaches his peak? sell him because he will probably leave at some point and his value will go down? same goes for Sturridge aswell, sorry but sod that, we have already seen what happens when we sell our best players and that spending big money can easily not work.

Whatever money we got for Suarez we would never ever replace the massive hole he would leave in our team, theres zero guarantee we would improve, just find it impossible to get my head around any Liverpool fan that would be content to see him sold, we would be ripping the heart out of our team, you just don't do that unless you have absolutely no choice, you add to that heart not rip it out.

Watching Suarez playing every week for Liverpool is what its all about as a fan, it really doesn't get much better than this, adding a big trophy or two would obviously top it all off, we will have a great chance of doing that over the next few years if we keep this team together along with adding to it with more quality.

Teams lose top players all the time, you can either accept that, or ignore it. We've lost Alonso, Mascherano and Torres recently, and a few more. We will lose more players. You can ignore it, let them run down contracts, sell them for nothing, see them decline in form, but it's best to be realistic about these things and try to do the best in the long term for the club. The flip side is that we have replaced all the great players that have left, eventually.

I love having Suarez in the team and I'd love him stay here forever, and I'd love him to stay in this form forever. But neither are likely to happen. If we don't look to plan for what will happen, it won't turn out well.

Obviously it's not a case of selling him for any offer, but if a huge one comes in, we should definitely consider it, and see what players we could get with that money.

As long as the club fight tooth and nail to keep him which to be fair to FSG they have so far, thankfully, then i won't complain, not buying that hes likely to leave either, no-one really knows one way or the other, when you piece it all together it looks like he wants CL football above all else, he was going to go to frigging Arsenal just to do that, a team that has next to no chance of winning it and has a recent history of not winning anything.

Presuming we get CL and hes not longing for Madrid (is there any real proof he is?) he must of seen enough of whats happening here to be content, i guess we will find out if Real come in with a massive bid in the summer.

Anyway the main point was with any Liverpool fans that would be willing/content to sell him, thats just so wrong.

Suarez is a bit like Raul in that he will be good even when he gets old, unlike players who relied on pace....

I can see him kegging players 10 years from now.

Hello people !!!!

If some of you may have forgotten, allow me to remind you all please ?

SaS as a pair this season = 42 goals !! (that's just 6 goals shy of the TOTAL GOALS scored by Chelsea and Arsenal respectively. And more than total goals scored of 3/4 of teams in the league)
Suarez's record this season = 23 goals !! (that's more than, if not, almost equal to the total goals scored of 1/4 of the teams in the league !!)

We're 4th in the league. Only 4 points separate us from the top team, a far more expensively assembled team.

For the last few seasons since Torres left, we have been bitching and moaning for the lack of a top scorer. Now that we have 2 world-class strikers and one of the most lethal striking partnerships (in the world !!!), some of you cretins are contemplating selling one of them !!!

WHAT ARE YOU CLOWNS SMOKING ?!?!?!?!

I bet you that trollking Rosco read this article (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...scored-23-goals-season-NONE-against-four.html) and decided to troll this forum.

I still can't believe there's already 2 pages in this thread ! Our rivals must be ROFLTAO while having a pisstake about us, when they see this thread.

Pasta Limbs & Gorgeous_Hunk_of_Red_Blooded_Man have hit all the nails on every one of the heads. He can retire to Real when he is 35.

More stats. Pointless stats. The guy is fine world class striker that any manager of any team would love to have playing for them. Purple patch? That's just glass half empty. How about he's top notch but has hit a small dry patch?
Would I sell him? No way. Look at spurs without Bale. And he's not as good as Suarez.

Rosco is right - he should be sold (not now) , before any perceptible decline.selling a player at the right time involves fan pain for sure. Viera, was sold at the right time, Reina, no, Agger no, Glen Jo, no.

I don't see Suarez going even if we get a sizeable bid. He is loving it here, scoring goals and improving as a player. let's not forget he'll still have another 4 years on his contract at the end of the season.

We should be doing everything possible to bring in top players to bolster the team and win silverware. Thats what we as a team exist for! Feck the defeatist attitude of some.

Exactly. And another day he'd have scored with the same shots. It's a nothing issue.

You mean like that amazing shot on the volley that hit the post against Arsenal? But according to Ross' fabled attempts at getting a bite, he's shit against the big sides, which is the crux point of this "non-trolling" thread.

Every time he hits a barren spell, we get the thinly veiled "Suarez's impact is lessening" point thrown at us, I guess the aim is that eventually, Ross will be able to say, "told you so", when Suarez does, finally decline. Brilliant thinking.

With a swashbuckling, attacking style, Brendan Rodgers' team have claimed three points in 16 of their 26 fixtures and fired 66 goals, with Daniel Sturridge and Luis Suarez hitting more than half of those between them.
