5 games and no goals this season.

Three games against Arsenal, one against City and one against Chelsea.

His record breaking pace seems to have slowed significantly since the turn of the year too.

Was it just a purple patch ? Is he taking it easy now he's guaranteed his big contract ?

Or is he going to explode again once we're playing shit teams ?

Just why... why bother. I don't get it.

You can offer up "Is he taking it easy now he's guaranteed his big contract?" as a potential discussion point but not the fact that the team is set up very differently now that Sturridge is back and Suarez is playing a different role....

Perhaps there is a worthy debate in this thread but the way it's set up just smacks of pure agenda... I guess this is the "trolling" that people credit you with. Personally I think that's being rather kind.

He obviously has a mental block playing agaisnt Arsenal - It was clearly playing on his mind when he pulled that volley in the match at Anfield 2 inches to the left & hit the post; likewise with the free kick that game, if he had been on top of his game he would have hit that even tighter to the corner & the keeper wouldn't have got to it

I don't like threads that like to make every point at the outset.

It's just a starting point, relax.

I think the 'problem' has many factors to it.

He obviously isn't going to have much more success against poorer opposition, top players have made a living out of doing this.
I think he needs a rest, not a big one, but he's pretty much played all our games back to back.
He knows that if he's fit, he's not going to get dropped, that can add an element of complacency.
Every striker will go through part of the season when they're not scoring as many goals, thankfully Suarez is still creating and looks lethal whilst he's in this patch.
Name me a player in the league, or any league, that has been knocking in them in against all of the top clubs this season? It doesn't happen.

All in all, there's not a problem. It would have been nice if he'd have scored against the big teams, but if he doesn't, and we still win/do well - then who cares? If he scores 40goals this season, and we do well against the big teams in the process, then it's mission accomplished if we finish top 4.

A can't ever remember a striker having a stormer in the premier league and battering loads of goals past all of the top teams in a single season. Even that season the gay ronaldo scored all those goals, he scored the vast majority past the dross in the league.

Last season he scored against City, Utd, 2xChelsea and Arsenal. Which means your point is bollocks re the big teams.
He's been very close to scoring against all the top teams this season aswell, but had a few assists.

The contract issue is a trolling argument, as usual.
He'll find his scoring form again soon enough.

Family problem in Uruguay...his grandma was chased out and now end up in a nursing home. Affected the performance lil bit.

do you think we should sell him rosco?

Like I said in the match thread, Suarez is wasted on the right side of the pitch.

You cannot play both forwards up front. So Suarez has to play on the right flank. He played there many times before with Ajax. ..he also played last 8 games there. ..and score goals.. i dont see any problem with that..
