Sturridge

Sturridge is ace and will do the business. He'll improve and double his goals tally this season with Coutinho chipping in with more than a few.

I was one of those who questioned his attitude before the move, but how wrong can you be about a players mentality.
Read today that he's been doing tripple sessions to be as fit as possible and return as qucikly as possible.
Well done to him for showing such a commitment.
It also said he feels really at home at the club and loves how he's been welcomed by the fans.

He's ace and will be a fantastic player for us. He can do the dance for all that I care. G'wan the Studge!!!!!

Absolutely made up that he is back. In regards to his dancing or his faith, who the fuck cares as long as he is putting the ball in the back of the net. He is a quality player.

Always wanted him

Glad I finally got one who isn't totally shit
*beams*

He still has time to become frustratingly shit, unfortunately. We do have that effect on some players, and Sturridge is one of those players who could get really sulky and unmotivated.

True and doesn't he have a bit of a reputation of starting well and then slowly getting lazier and more selfish?

Not that I'm afraid it'll happen, I reckon he'll be good. Not great though so none of this golden boot chatter for me.

He surprised me a fair bit to be honest, without really knowing what to expect. Still I surely wasn't expecting someone looking as good as Sturridge did mind, especially not as soon as he did.

I am still quietly holding my horses with regards to Golden Boot talk, Suarez replacement etc, as his history, as Der Alte also points out, has proved to be a bit of a roller coaster ride in terms of performances. However there's good evidence that Rodgers seems to get to him and makes him want to improve himself (as Hansern pointed out) so perhaps we have indeed got a real star on our hands.

Can he keep up performances, perhaps even improve further, we could actually be more covered in the goals apartment than anyone of us dares to dream post Suarez.

For what it's worth I really like his attitude. He's a confident lad.

Posters on this site didn't see enough of Sturridge at Bolton. He was excellent there and showed what he could do with regular games. After I'd seen him play for them (and then go back to Chelsea give performances which outclassed their 50M striker) I had little doubts about him.

Chelsea must be kicking themselves.
