No he didn't.

Your facts are hugely wrong. Maybe, you should try getting them right before posting.

Fact of the matter is, you have an agenda.

First league game: goal
second: goal
third: goal
fourth: goal

My mistake on what I found - I apologise.

Daniel Sturridge joined Liverpool in January 2012. He's had plenty of time to adjust to how Rodgers manages his team, the training methods and how the team should operate. He also plays a different role what Lallana has been tasked to do.

Tell me he hasn't had time to adjust to how Liverpool wants him to play and then tell me Lallana hasn't be afford the same time. You can't, you're just making obscure references to justify your agenda but do carry it.

Matter of fact, Lallana is a talented player. He'll come good given the chance but you'll never admit that because he's Liverpool player and not a modo player.

This has been done to death, so I'll leave it short considering that it's a thread about Stoke.
I don't think I've ever said that he's a bad player. I might not rate him as highly as others but he's not bad.
I won't go into details but as I've always said my biggest gripe with his transfer was the fee. He just wasn't worth it.
I wasn't that convinced that he'd fit our game either because I thought he was slow but it's becoming more evident for some now.
I also said that he'd probably be played on the wing. Which he's also doing.

It's early days and I really hope I'm wrong, I honestly do, but I don't think I will be in this case.
If we start playing counter attacking football which will allow him space in midfield, he'll probably flourish.
I shouldn't be mentioning him any more, but I really can't help it at times. We obviously didn't buy him to sit on the bench and in the 9 games he's started he's produced a goal and an assist. It just isn't good enough consider what we paid for him.
That is why I'm a bit annoyed.

Your best post ever.

Little tiddly ones though, which anyone could play, and he did spend a fair bit of time passing sideways too, though overall he was defo an asset. Dantes is referring to the really constructive passes which Stevie G can play and has played so often over the years.
I really don't want to get dragged into an agenda driven argument that disrupts the whole thread but that post is largely in error JJ.

There's no "agree to disagree" aspect, you've just posted a criticism which wasn't based on the Stoke match at all. Lucas made multiple passes in the forward third, crisp passes designed to start something and was largely successful. They weren't "tiddly" little passes, they were through traffic to players on the edge of the box or around the penalty area.

Even further, he was one of the least negative players we had - particularly first half. While the rest of the squad seems infected by this malaise that requires them to pass backwards, he was constantly looking to get it forward. The reason this myth of him making short, sideways or backward passes has been perpetuated by excellent posters remains a mystery to me.

He's certainly not the second coming or anything like it, he's had about 18 months in 6 years of form worthy of a title challenger and if he can't find it again quickly then we need to get better. But using criticism's which have been proven wrong statistically time and again is just lazy and tired. When it is perpetuated by otherwise excellent posters it becomes as annoying as the trolls we have to endure too regularly.

Looking at that line up, the owners or the board cannot be that happy with Brendan.
I think he tried giving his new players a chance but it just isn't working. He has now reverted back to a group of players who know each other and it's starting to pay dividends. Better late than never.

Could work both ways... He'd probably get even more flak from the board if he kept persevering with his own signings and ignored those already at the club.

Well, I didn't see what you saw, Wizardry, and with respect I don't regard myself as any more prone to seeing what I expect to see than you are, in regard to Lucas particularly. But you're right about not diverting the thread, so I'll leave it at that.

Thanks guys. In fact not having the sound on initially added to the comical value, his face for a split moment is complete bamboozle!

Bojan is wank. Ajax turned down the option of another year on loan as they had better kids coming through.

He did look decent on Saturday though so we will probably bid 20m+.
