Toure is usually fairly sound as a bit part player, and I think you see the same sort of return in Lucas and Allen. It's when managers get conned into playing them in a run of games that the inevitable happens. I think that's what's so fucking frustrating about those two, because they can go from performances like that where they show real fighting spirit & quality for the team, and then they return in the next game and look like a pair of amateurs. Does my head in.
Yep, I was screaming at the TV for this. And then nearly belted myself when Can reminded me exactly why he's a shite centre half with that momentary lapse at the end.
It was the right call though, to get Toure out of the way.
There really are some arl arses on this board. The number of posters who just can't give players credit when they play well because they obviously don't rate them is sad. There are plenty of players who i don't rate or have been disappointed with this season but that doesn't mean i want them to play badly or won't praise them when they play well.

I don't think that's particularly fair if you view the MOTM thread mate. I haven't followed the match thread that closely, but Lucas is in most peoples lists, as are Allen and Toure in a fair few of them too, mostly from posters who've vented their criticisms of all three in the past. I thought the three of them were excellent tonight.

Lucas has been good-excellent for the majority of his games this season.
To say anything else is rubbish.
Yes he has had some terrible games as have everyone else but he's been one of if not our best player this season.
Allen hasn't played much at all and as Mark has pointed out we are unbeaten when Kolo has played.
He gets so much shit for panicking on the ball but he's been by and large a superb free signing who has done well when called upon.
How many of them posters in the MOM thread have been vocal critics (even within this thread) or piss takers though? Not many.

Lucas had a decent game as did Joe Pirlo - I thought Lallana did OK too, I still don't get all the hate on him, he always puts a shift in, has got good feet and causes problems , the end result isn't always there but I think that's partly due to a lack of awareness around him. Can did OK too and Milner for a first game back did OK - The fullbacks did their jobs well too, & Ming kept us in it with a great save at the end of the first half.
