[article]Manchester City have scored 115 goals so far this season in all competitions - so could they really score 200 by the end of it?

115 goals in 37 games, which is 3.1 goals per game

TO GO
15 Premier League games
Capital One Cup final
Four potential FA Cup matches (not inc replays)
Seven potential Champions League matches
Total: 27

So if they continue at their current rate, they will finish with...
198 goals[/article]

[article]City's 115 goals have come from 12 different players this season. Unsurprisingly, strikers Sergio Aguero and Alvaro Negredo are leading the way but the midfielders have been pulling their weight too - most notably, Yaya Toure has netted 15 times already.

Centre back and captain Vincent Kompany is among the goals as well, scoring three times from defence. He isn't the highest-scoring defender at City though. Aleksandar Kolarov has four goals from left back.

1. Sergio Aguero 26
2. Alvaro Negredo 23
3. Edin Dzeko 17
4. Yaya Toure 15
5. Jesus Navas 5
6. Samir Nasri 5
7. David Silva 5
8. Aleksandar Kolarov 4
9. Fernandinho 3
10. Stevan Jovetic 3
11. Vincent Kompany 3

[article]Tottenham have scored at least once in every Premier League game under manager Tim Sherwood.

Fulham have conceded 14 goals from long-range this season in the Premier League, more than any other side.

Ricky van Wolfswinkel is now without a goal in 15 games (all competitions) for Norwich City.

Steven Caulker has blocked more opposition shots than any other player in the Premier League this season (34).

Leroy Fer has conceded 41 fouls this season, only Chelsea’s Ramires (44) has been penalised more often.

Wilfried Bony has scored six goals in his last six competitive appearances for Swansea City.

Adam Johnson has scored or assisted each of Sunderland’s last seven Premier League goals.

Liverpool have only failed to score in one of their last 13 Barclays Premier League away games and have netted 33 in that run.

Liverpool have kept just one clean sheet in their last 10 trips on the road and conceded 20 times in those matches.

Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge have played a combined 33 Premier League games this season and scored 36 goals.

Liverpool have scored 37 first half goals this season in the Premier League in 2013-14 so far. They have scored in each of their last 13 Premier League games, averaging 3.1 goals per game over this period (40 goals in total).

Luis Suarez has matched his league goal total from last season in just 18 appearances (compared to 33 in 2012/13).

Liverpool have made fewer substitutions than any other Premier League side this season (53).

Seven different Arsenal players have scored headed goals this season, more than at any other club.

No player has scored the first goal of a Premier League game on more occasions than Olivier Giroud this season (6).

Man City have won 19 and lost just one of their last 21 Barclays Premier League games at the Etihad Stadium, including winning the last 11 in a row.

Man City have won their last eight Premier League games in a row, longer than any run secured in the title winning season of 2011-12 (most was seven).[/article]

Since Branislav Ivanovic made his Premier League debut in 2008, the League’s top-scoring defenders from open play are John Terry 18, Gary Cahill 17 and Ivanovic 15

@Optajoe
29 - Liverpool have made more defensive errors leading to a goal/attempt than any other team in the PL this season.

[article]Arsenal have not lost a Premier League match where Per Mertesacker and Laurent Koscielny have completed the full 90 minutes for more than two years.

A 2-1 reverse to Manchester City on Jan. 22, 2012 was the last time the league leaders lost with the pair at the back, a streak that now stands at 32 matches, including 23 wins.

Arsenal have conceded 21 goals in 24 league matches this season, second only to third-placed Chelsea, and they have let in one goal in their last 11 home games.[/article]

That’s just one short of the record — 8 were dismissed in 1994-95.

6 of this season’s sackings have come in the bottom half, with clubs terrified of dropping out of the lucrative top flight.[/article]

Since Daniel Sturridge made his debut for Liverpool, the top 2 Premier League scorers are Suarez (31) and Sturridge (24).

Since his debut in the PL, Luis Suarez has won twice as many penalties as any other player (Ashley Young is second with 6).

Since August 2008, only 2 PL teams have hit the woodwork more than 100 times (Liverpool 128, Arsenal 103).

Simon Mignolet has made more errors (5) leading directly to a goal than any other Premier League player this season.

Of the 30 PL goals from direct free-kicks this season, 17 of them have come from the four clubs from Manchester & Liverpool.

Since their League Cup final victory against Bradford City, Swansea have won just 4 of their last 18 PL games at home.

In Rodgers 62 games in charge, Liverpool have only got through without a defensive error on 27 occasions. When the Reds manage this they average 1.93 points per game (PPG). However in 15 games Liverpool have made 1 defensive error and on these occasions they manage 1.8 PPG. Finally when they make more than 1 error (which has happened 20 times, nearly a third of Rodgers games!) they only average 1.4 PPG.

Simon Mignolet has made more errors (5) leading directly to a goal than any other Premier League player this season.

What a shocking stat.

What a shocking stat.

Its an embarrassing stat for Mig to have, though to be fair to him i don't think its 5, Villa, Chelsea, City and Stoke, can't think of another.

Started off so well for him but he has been shite since Xmas, way below the standard we need, hopefully its just a rough patch and he can end the season like he started it, we need him to.

i really really think we need to get some better defensive coaches in to give brenden a hand, its like he expects them to completely organize themselves while he takes care of attack

These individual mistakes have been a common thing the whole time Rodgers has been here, if its not one player its another making a howler.

Not sure how much of it you can blame on the coaching, its really hard to gauge, we can be playing well at the back then out of nowhere one brain fart costs us a goal, if its one player making these mistakes then we should get rid of him but when they all take turns fucking up? what can you really do about that?

Has no real bearing on this season. We've been out of the running for anything come the end the last few seasons, this year will be different.

I think Arsenal will be surely in the race till the end
ManUtd 😳 Moyes 😎
Btw, if I calculate with the above stats, Liverpool will be able to manage get 72 points
So to sum it up:
Arsenal-25.87+55 = 80.87 points
ManCity-23.4+54 =77.4 points
Chelsea-26.52+56 =82.52 pts
Liverpool-22.62+50 =72.62 points
Everton- 24.18+45 =69.18 pts
Tottenham- 23.27+47=70.27 pts
ManUtd- 28.99+ = 69.99 pts

So even considering the stats, it seems conditions are in favour to us, where as if with some SAF miracle Utd manages to regain their form to the highest notch, they will just finish above Everton and below Spurs. I am sure we will manage more than 1.74 points/game.
