So he should contest it, it was never a blatant stamp, its obvious for everyone to see that hes in his natural stride.

Have anyone ever overturned a charge with the FA?
They are clowns. Costa gets away with the same stamp on Skrtel. Rooney doesnt get anything for kicking Ming.
Absolute joke.

The referee saw that one though, and incompetant that he is, decided it was worth nothing more than a freekick.

It looked like a deliberate lengthening of the stride to catch De Gea so I'm not sure we've a complaint to make about this one.

I don't think that's enough to prove intent. If you're running in at a keeper you won't keep an even step because you'd collide with him. Surely you'd either shorten or lengthen your step. So I think there was a good case to challenge the decision, and there are precedents. We are hopeless at dealing with the FA.

Yes you'd adjust your step to miss the keeper - which Skrtel didn't attempt to do.

Instead he lengthens his stride slightly, keeps his toe raised and comes down on De Geas legs with his studs.

What we're hopeless at is being honest about our players.

At best you can say he was a little bit reckless

And intent isn't necessary for violent conduct.

It's a level of unnecessary force or brutality used against someone when you're not challenging for the ball - or something along those lines.

Okay, he was a little bit reckless.

Its true that we are a bit hopeless when it comes to being honest about our players.
Its the inconsistency that gets me wound up mind. Costa gets away with his stamp on Skrtel but is charged for the one on Can.
Skrtel is charged for the one on De Gea while Rooney doesnt get anything for kicking down Ming.

Violent conduct or intent, 3 games for that feels brutal. And if we're going to point a finger in Skrtels direction incredibly unneccessary. But 1-2 down, last minute and at least he went in 100%. We lacked that all game.
Shame we'll be without him at the Emirates.

Rooney got away because the referee saw it, so the stupid rule means no further action can be taken.

That's one rule they need to drop immediately. Who cares if he saw it or not? If they're going to intervene, then just intervene as and when they think someone's cocked up.

It would be ten times better if every missed or messed decision was punishable after a game.

I'd love to see fines dished out after every game for diving
