I would say it is only a matter of time before tickets don't go on general sale any more but are sold as part of a match package.Let's face it, the club have no interest in the Ordinary Joe supporter as we don't generate any cash for them. We go for a bevy outside the ground, stroll up 5 minutes before kick off, spend nothing in the ground or club shop. They'd sooner sell the tickets to supporters who make one or two visits a season and partake in the full Anfield experience.
Thing is, season tickets are outmoded.
If football was invented now you'd just accept it is another entertainment and something that you might go to a few times a year and make a big day of.
At the end of the day we and the owners want the same thing
