Fuck knows what that was tonight, those mancs that are happy about him staying are deluding themselves something rotton, they are going to be watching what we saw tonight for the next 4/5 years, they have a quality player in Mata being shunted out of position just like Studge was tonight just accomodate him.

I wouldn't write him off just yet for the Mancs, especially if they get a manager

Would never write him off as a club player, he has a lot to offer, always has, the Chelsea move would have been a good one for him i reckon, hes still one of the best strikers in the league and was pretty much carrying the mancs early on in the season, they would have been 20 plus points behind us if it wasn't for him.

Its fucked up for them with Mata though, hes the perfect replacement for Rooney but they keep Rooney and have him playing in Matas ideal position, Mata behind Van Persie could be lethal, it probably was better for both parties to go their seperate ways but the mancs are a desperate mess right now, fuck it anyway, who cares for them, hopefully it continues to be a fuck up.

England on the other hand hes been a write off for sometime, yeah he has some good performances in the qualifiers but he has consistantly failed when it matters most, yes there probably wasn't many other alternatives but now there is, theres a better striker now and some exciting talent to play around that striker, why is anyone expecting or thinking Rooney will deliver in the World Cup this time? is there any evidence to say that he will deliever this time? why not get the others in and give them a shot, Rooneys had his chances, though none of this means shit because hes an automatic pick, best hope is that he gets injured.

He can be a superb player when he's in form. I'm not sure if this is Moyes doing (training, out of position, evil eye(s) ), Hodges doing or whether like a few others (I guess) probably just holding themselves back because it is a meaningless friendly (for those not on the bubble).
Yeah I get it, he's a Manc and ex-Blue so obviously some of the bias shows through on this forum but nevertheless he is easily be good enough to start and really should be playing a lot better than he has been.

When has he done it for England? He's had 8 games at tournaments and never scored. Displacing Sturridge to accommodate him is just mental, as Spag Legs says above Mata is a much better player

Fucked me off that he took the free kicks. Skipper tell him to naff off. Mine

Read my post again.

I would just like England for a change to pick the best form players and play them in their usual position. None of this central midfielder on the wing or striker on the wing. If you have two players who play the same position for their club , pick one of them. You would have to do that for a goal keeper as our ray clemence knew years ago
