Rodgers: "4th is doable"

As I said; The focus should not be on fourth. it should only be on the three points out there. Every fucking match there are three points up for grabs. Massive game today, but it was not the one alone costing us the 4th spot.

It seem fairly obvious that 4th is only theory.

So what does Rodgers need to do the doable? He obviously cant do it with what he got. What is he capable of bringing in and make to play like a top four team?

If BR is going to talk up our chances, he needs to play a team that backs up his talk. Shelvey can never be one of our forward men again. Ever, seriously.

We have been consistently fucking annoying all season. Appaz we were robbed, i didnt see it, i'm pleased i didnt.

I just hope we dont talk up the Europa league now.

Fuck. Another season of being nobodies...

He needs to show some balls.. how can you defend your players after that performance ?

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers refused to blame his players after suffering a 2-0 home defeat by West Bromwich Albion.
The Reds were dominant for the majority of the Anfield contest, creating 19 shots on target, and were hit with a sucker-punch when Gareth McAuley nodded in the opener with their first meaningful attack.
It closely followed a penalty miss by Steven Gerrard for the hosts and, with Romelu Lukaku scoring a late second to rub salt in the wounds, Rodgers told Sky Sports: "The players gave everything. It was just one of those games with all those shots that we couldn't make the breakthrough.
"We've been on a terrific run. I'm very disappointed with the goal. That first goal was crucial.
"I can't fault the players, though. We weren't at our best but we were on the front foot for most of the game. It's a good away performance from West Brom.
"If you can keep it to 0-0 you always have a chance. And Ben Foster has made some fantastic saves to keep them in the game. Losing is a big disappointment but we'll be back in tomorrow and get going again."
And on Gerrard's saved spot-kick that turned the game in West Brom's favour, Rodgers added: "He's got the courage to get up and take it. There's no blame. It was a good save."

Rodgers is starting to get on my tits now. And this "4th is doable" malarky is fucking cringeworthy to say the least.

I've changed my mind. Europa League should be our priority now.

Without Sturridge? With this shambles of a team?
Never gonna happen.

Let's just focus all our energy on keeping Suarez.

I wasn't upset about tonight for some reason. I don't know why but I almost feel encouraged by it. We're dropping points because of self sabotage rather than others ability or us being tripe. We do look good, and we are getting better. But we are throwing away points rather than losing them. Am I nuts?

You're not nuts. It's a valid point. Most of our shit results as of late are because of shit defending. We (usually) look good up front. We've started scoring goals again. Sometimes you'll have games where the goals don't come and it's frustrating as fuck. But it's the "self sabotage" as you so rightly put it that's our biggest downfall this season. We've made so many shit teams look like world beaters.

You're nuts. There are many different ways to parse our losing, and I do see some things developing well, but I don't think you can be successful without having an organized and competent defense, and at best our defensive issues have been constant this season. At worst, our defensive issues have been getting worse over time. We don't have a particularly imposing team in the air, so it'd be one thing if we were getting beat to a few balls, but it isn't that, we don't seem to know what to do. If we can't look mediocre defending a corner kick, what the fuck is going on with our defensive coaching?
