I said a few days ago that we might have to bring in two keepers rather than one. Ward needs games at his age (exactly the same age as Karius). He probably regretted not staying with Huddersfield last season, and this summer he's gone from back up keeper to being told he'll have a chance to stake his claim to first place, only to then see us buy someone else. So I'd not be surprised if he decided to leave. The next keeper in line on our books is Kamil Grabara - he's only 20 but highly rated (Gerrard raves about him) and he'd be up for being promoted. He's supremely ambitious and very self-confident. Other than that I guess we'll have to get an older player for the short term.

We can still get money for ming. karius stock is very low but he does have age on his side so will probably stay (and there probably won’t be many takers)
