Reina - 8 - Assured, decisive, did everything required.

Insua - 3 - Wasn't impressed at all today.

Carragher - 9 - Superb - MOTM.

Agger - 8 - Calm, composed. What a performance so quick after injury.

Johnson - 7 - Could've contributed more in attack I thought but he was good defensively and had a great interception/tackle late on in the game

Masher - 8.5 - Lowered for the red card but nonetheless it was great performance.

Lucas 8.5 - Played his part in controlling the game and passed well throughout

Aurelio - 8 - Probably our best left midfielder. Shame he's our best LB, too.

Yossi - 9 - Inventive, dangerous, awesome assist for Torres

Kuyt - 7 - Shit first half but improved in the second. His first touch was infuriating throughout.

Torres - 8.5 - Iffy for the first period of the game but then sprang into life and tool his goal brilliantly.

Insewer doesn't merit a 5, he was horrible yet again
tony barrett reckons insua is worth over ten mill now. ;D

Insua was utter garbage today. Slow as fuck and got skinned by John fucking O' Shea.

Glen Johnson was quiet.

Kuyt started badly but got better as the game went on.

the rest were excellent.

Yeah, I think that's fair.

Insua was a liability at times and United clearly were targeting. Had they had Ronaldo, we probably would've lost.

Lowered to 3

I'd pretty much agree with those.

We need a new fucking left-back, and pronto

We played Aurelio today because neither him, nor the execrable Insua, are good enough to play there by themselves

Didn't we sign one last year?

Short.. Fat.. an Italian bloke?

Isn't Buchtmann a left back ? 😉
He's far too attacking to be constrained at left back. He's more of a playmaker

So the rest of the team gets a rating with Valencia as the United winger, while Insua gets a rating with a fictitious Ronaldo in their team?

I think he is a decent player, and we have seen him perform much better than that. I would love for us to have a better full back. A player who is preferably taller, quicker...someone who can add significantly to our defense. But we don't have that player. He is doing a far better job back there than an older Lucas Leiva.....cut him some slack and throw your weight behind him. At least till he is replaced sufficiently.

No, it was merely a hypothetical comment.

Insua's been poor throughout this season and doesn't look half the player he did last term. He was shit today, truly shit.

insua has been given a chance and regardless of what he achieves or doesn't this season he is not of the standard that's needed. we should cash in on him and doseena and try and use that money towards someone better.

kuyt pissed me off with his second touch tackle, his cross in the first half and when he bottled it instead of shooting.

yossi's pass was brilliant but too many times he took a touch too many.

lucas had his best game in a red shirt but gave away too many free kicks in dangerous positions, hardly made a forward pass and that shot from 6 yards for a box to box brazillian was disgraceful

johnson, agger, reina all played well, aurelio was also really good and helped insua out enormously

carra was back to his usual self although fuck knows what he was thinking when he tackled carrick in the box. today would have done him the world of good and i think it looks a a better balance with him next to agger

masch and torres had exceptional games. masch was unfortunate to get sent off, he clearly pulled out of the tackle. torres' defending and general up for it attitude destroyed vidic and ferdinand

i just thought that in the end we had more fight than they did and really could and should have scored more.

oh and we won without gerrard......again.

No he wasn't, I've noticed this over your last few posts, what's the deal with Insua?? He's hardly been our worst player this season.

give young players a chance, now you want them sold?

jesus fucking christ. Insua's played some bad games but he's still a good player who probably shouldnt be playing in the big games yet.

I was going to go on a long rant about this, but can't be bothered now. There have been some fucking shit posts when it comes to some of our youngsters recently though.

yeah. Insua probably ISNT ready for these types of games (including in the CL) but you know why he's playing because we've got injuries. normally Aurelio would play left back and Reira would be left midfield so Insua is actually a squad player like Lucas, just that they're being called upon right now and during a difficult period.

do people expect superstars to be squad players or something? it's never going to happen.

Now in the third replay of the game I can clearly see Evra and Giggs in Uniteds starting line up. That was the only time I saw them..... Glen Johnson wasnt quiet, he kept their left side quiet.
