Son wasn’t even that good today, Moura giving City the same sort of problems Adam Traore has in the past. City might cope better when that younger Spanish dm who’s name i can’t remember is back.

City had zero clinical edge. Smart arse trying no strikers again and being made to look a cunt.

Well done, Spurs and Nuno Espirito Santo. Pep had no answer for their tactics, but to be fair he didn’t even seem to try to respond. Lucas Moura was unplayable, one of the best games I’ve ever seen him play. Tanganga was excellent at RB and most Spurs players have done themselves proud. City created little until the last 10 minutes when De Bruyne came on. Gundogan’s injury at the end looked concerning.

Why? A striker is exactly what city need. You'd charge 200m
It's more of what would be better for Spurs than what City need, they just beat the champions without him why keep a want-away player when you can invest in
improving the squad.

They beat them with a wantaway striker in the club. Let him rot on the bench/reserves if a potential (arf!) Rival wants him for any less than 200m

Nuno: Kane is training, but he needs to get fit, there's no problem, he isn't injured, but he needs to get fit so that he can help the team
Translator: I don't give a shit how fit he is, he's dead to me, he'll never get in the squad again, he can rot in the fucking reserves, the fucking mouthbreathing twat thought he could take me on, I'm going to make him my bitch, he's going to pay the ultimate price

I have a feeling that for most Spurs players, the calm, gentlemanly manner of Nuno is a welcome contrast to Mourinho histrionics. Their managerial search was embarrassing at times, but in the end I think they got the right manager.

Yeah like Dreamy I'd like to know what he said because he is one of the thickest most biased commentators across all channels (second only to Hislop or maybe Nicol). He should be swapped out for Onuoha who is a breath of fresh air, intelligent and observant.

Really? I really like Richards. Infectious personality and actually talks about the game without drowning in jargon.

I'd love to see him on a Monday night football trying analysis

The English golden boy is getting a free ride, while pogba gets shit after putting in a masterclass performance

City are going to shit the bed this season. I'm more worried about Chelsea.
I’m not. Chelsea finished behind us despite our torrid season and them being ahead for most the final third. I think we will see them be inconsistent.

Cheers! Yeah I saw that and TBH didn't think anything of it. He'll be over the moon if Kane moves, which is looking increasingly unlikely (The Times called it already - next season perhaps). As was said the agents do it on behalf of their players - not like they don't have their consent ! But Richards is a thick twat so no surprise he doesn't get it.

Personally I never get the uproar, sure they've signed a contract but if the situation changes or they see a route to a perceived better future why wouldn't they have the right to demand a move? Of course the fans will be disappointed but it's not their life. Anyone else (in most professions) would have that right if conditions in their workplace declined or didn't meet expectations. And as fans or commentators we have no idea what goes on, or is said, behind closed doors

The management often surprise & sell players too, the player may agree to the move maybe because of the terms offered but also because it's clear they are no longer required/wanted. It's rare a club is lambasted for wanting to sell a player that's disappointed or doesn't suit them. The contract only enables one side to turn down a deal if they wish, it's not to force players and clubs to see it out regardless.

He comes across as a really nice guy but Onuoha is streets ahead, IMO.

Lukaku will make a big difference, as will Tuchel now having had half a season in charge and a full pre-season with them. It would be remiss to dismiss a squad of that quality.

It’s a big change moving to Lukaku up front. No preseason to work on that. I just have that feeling our players coming back will give us a lot more consistency. We will be top with a nice cushion to Chelsea in second and the 2 manc clubs battling third and fourth.

If you’re wrong... I’m drinking all your beer... and wine.
