Well if Trent is out we can be more conventional at right back and see how that works out.

Konate in for Matip, Joemez for Trent and I’d give Kostas a rest if Robbo is fit enough

Midfield? Fuck knows, perhaps Elliott, Fabs, Hendo? We brought Elliott on to LCM against Arsenal didn’t we, so maybe that again.

Jota, Darwin, Salah up top

Is Ramsay available, I'd like to see him get a run if possible. A game against an overmatched SPL team should be ideal for him. I don't expect him to start every week but if Trent is out for a while he will have to share the workload as Gomez is not a 3 games in 9 days type of player. Few in our squad are, interesting month ahead

I think Ramsay back in training now, I’d like to see him get a run too

[article]Liverpool will be coughing up a cool €5m when Darwin Nunez faces Manchester City this weekend.

Liverpool splashed out €75m up front for the Uruguay international striker in the summer window, but the transfer included a number of add-ons that are set to be triggered over the next few years.

The first of these could be triggered as early as next week when Liverpool play host to Pep Guardiola's champions Man City, after a mid-week trip to Glasgow to take on Rangers in the Champions League.

Nunez has so far made eight competitive appearances for the Reds this season. Should he feature against both Rangers and City, then he will have hit his first milestone in a Reds shirt - 10 games played - which will trigger the need for Liverpool to pay Benfica an add-on fee.

Record says Benfica are owed a total of €25m from the Reds. €5m will be paid after Nunez plays 10 games for the Reds, which is likely to be triggered at the weekend. Liverpool will later have to splash out €10m after the striker makes 60 appearances.

The remaining €10m owed to Benfica will depend on performance-related objectives, both individual and collective, being achieved.
The exact details of what these consist of are unknown.

DARWIN NUNEZ HAD ARGUABLY HIS BEST PERFORMANCE FOR LIVERPOOL, CAN HE BUILD ON THAT?

He’s been a great signing. You can talk about whether he should be playing or not but Liverpool have to give him confidence and confidence doesn’t mean leaving him out. He played well, he scored goals, he created chances. It’s difficult for him as he’s come into a Liverpool team that isn’t playing as well as it was. Whereas Haaland has come into a Manchester City team that’s playing well. If Liverpool was playing as well as they had in previous years, Nunez would be much better. I was pleased for him that he was one of the shining lights.

Nunez will take time and there will be times where he will go backwards rather than forward. If he gets over 10 goals I'll be surprised.
Trent at RB is proving to be a liability, he is still a creative spark but seems to have developed Dele Alli syndrome when it comes to defending. Shove him to RMF, and let Gomez play at RB with Ramsey coming on in the last 30 mins.
So what's happen to VVD? Why are so many players getting passed him? Can we still play the highline?

I think we’ll test the back 4 we need to play against city

Alisson

Gomez Ibu Virgil Tsimikas
Fabinho Thiago
Salah Carvalho Jota
Nunez

Bobby will start against City.

I wouldn’t be against seeing Ramsay, Bajectic play but priority should be using easy games to sort the shit show out.

I'd like to have Robbo back for City in all honesty. Hopefully he gets 30 mins tomorrow.

Because he never makes a tackle or a sprint anymore he just stands there with his hands behind his back hoping to intimidate them with his reputation.

I'm more concerned about Fabinho than most of the others, he's looked worse in every game he's played this year. He's miles off the pace, like he's got his own fitness program building up to the world cup and he's just using these games like a preseason exercise.

Our mentality midgets might scrape a narrow win in this one, but I reckon they might bottle it with the atmosphere. Draw. Royal tonking at the weekend.

The weekend could be worst than that 9-0 drubbing we gave Bournemouth.

Liverpool: Alisson, Gomez, Konate, Van Dijk, Tsimikas, Fabinho, Henderson, Elliott, Carvalho, Firmino, Nunez.
Subs: Adrian, Kelleher, Thiago, Milner, Salah, Jota, Robertson, Bajcetic, Phillips.

No Salah, No Salah, running down the wing

Looks like a 4-2-2-2 to me.
