Liverpool related transfer speculation

News just in…

Liverpool are initially in talks with NOBODY over a proposed move to Anfield, apparently FSG and the hierarchy are over the moon about this..

Jorrel Hato on His Future, Liverpool, and Visit to Anfield

Ajax's young defender, Jorrel Hato, has confirmed that he has no plans to leave the club in the January transfer window. When asked by reporters about a potential move, Hato was clear:

🗣️ "I'm not thinking about leaving Ajax this winter, and I remain with that decision. I want to finish the season with Ajax."

However, interest from the Premier League remains strong. Some of England’s top clubs have already made contact regarding a summer transfer. When asked if Liverpool could be one of the clubs he might like in the future, Hato responded briefly:

🗣️ "Could be… I don’t know."

The Dutch defender was recently spotted at Anfield, further fueling speculation about a possible move. However, he explained the reason for his visit to Liverpool:

🗣️ "I was invited by Ryan Gravenberch, I didn’t speak to a director there. Liverpool played well, and the atmosphere in the stadium was great, but there is nothing more to say."

Although Hato remains focused on finishing the season with Ajax, it is clear that his name will continue to be linked with Liverpool in the coming months.

Good lad - making sure we don’t get done for tapping up by saying he was Gravy’s guest and didn’t speak to any directors.

He's going to a significantly better league and likely surrounded by team mates he can communicate better with. I think its a positive versus staying in the Austrian league (which is probably equivalent of League Two in England) for another 5 months.

One positive news is Essugo and Silva - players they loaned in from Sporting and Wolves respectively have been performing well this season.

Think he just wants to play. For whatever reason, that wasn't happening consistently at Salzburg.

Wouldn't give up on him yet but this has been a lost season again so far.
Because he couldn't succeed at a loan?

Really want it to work out for the kid, but I think he's got attitude problems. Doesn't seem motivated enough and seems to be distracted by stuff outside football.
A bit of a Rashford issue I would say.
So if the rumours are true, he's done at LFC.

What rumours are you alluding to? I think it’s much more likely that he had a near career-ending injury and needs time…perhaps more than he’ll get at Anfield as others supplant him in the potentials pecking order.

That's absolutely true and that's why he was loaned out initially. But I read on some RB Salzburg forum that he seemed disinterested when he was there. Didn't work hard enough in training etc.

Was that their forum's Moron equivalent?

Sorry Moron 😜

Loaning a young foreign player back to their home country does seem like a bad omen… I think it’s more likely we’ll sell rather than bring him back next season to fight for his place at LFC.
That too. I know I've been harping on about this but why aren't we loaning him out to a Championship team?
Instead we're sending him to a fucking vacation island

I wouldn’t take much notice of what folk write on football forums…full of idiots…

In some shitty interview some first team players were asked who the most fined player was and both said Bajectic, which does suggest a lack of discipline at the very least, and is probably the most we would ever publicly hear about.

I think Gakpo also did a skit for each player and only think he could say about Bajetic was late, always late.
A bloke I used to work with had this desk-top clock thing (he was an old fella so not in touch with modern things like wrist-watches or the clock on his PC). Every day when he went to make the last brew of the day for him and the bloke who sat opposite, said bloke would set his clock back 20 minutes or so, leading him to leave the office late, but not realising it.
The next morning, he'd come in and go off on one about how his train had left early again the night before. This would have been a shitty enough thing to do, even if we hadn't been working in Liverpool and the train he needed to catch wasn't an unreliable hourly service to Stockport.
That said, his missus was a cow so he was probably happier sitting in the cold at Lime Street than being at home with her.
This went on once or twice a week for several months, and it only stopped when everyone told his "mate" that it was (a) really tight; and (b) not that funny any more.
