Liverpool related transfer speculation

Didn't expect you to become a pessimist too.

I know times look bad now, but don't forget we'll be losing VVD, Salah and Trent soon, and hidden gems like Calvert-Lewin, Sarabia and Adama will be available on a free. I expect us to be opportunistic and hardworking this summer!
I’m branching out into @Woland ’s niche.

Liverpool could hijack Napoli move…

Liverpool could cause some issues for Napoli amid their attempts to sign Alejandro Garnacho.

The Italian side hold an interest in the Manchester United star and have already had one bid rejected. They have also earmarked Borussia Dortmund's Karim Adeyemi as an alternative - but he also has other interest in him.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Liverpool are keeping a close eye on the forward and could make a move in the future. That could potentially see Napoli up their bid for Garnacho - or indeed leave Napoli without an option.

Don't see us buying him directly from the Mancs. A move after he's spent some time elsewhere might be more of a possibility - we've done that kind of thing at times over the years with ex-Mancs and bluenoses (Ince, David Johnson, Steve McMahon).

It’s a badly worded article but I think it’s suggesting that we might be after Adeyemi….not Garnacho.

That’s what I thought too, when I first read it, but on second reading I think they meant Garnacho, but it is really badly, translated, I guess.

At this point this thread is entirely fan fiction. We’re not signing anyone, probably ever. Henry lost his credit card and Edwards turned his focus towards crypto trading, sculpting a buff body and growing organic vegetables. Hughes is just pretending to work to cover up for the other two.
Yes - what the f*ck do these guys do ?

It would be amazing if we won the quad with no signings - it would be shining example for all other clubs around the world.

Is this some kind of joke?

We signed Chiesa so can't see this 'stat' working around any trophies we may or may not win
You are absolutely right - my bad, I forgot the contribution that Chiesa has made to our team this season with all those starts and 90 minutes of high press, skill, goals and not to mention being such high availability player. Silly me.

Dear 6CM Members,

I am really upset now - we have signed NOBODY - a new signing could brighten up the season for us - a signing that can be part of the 1st team who is not some crooked injury bound player. Someone that will give us that excitement factor like Diaz did all those years ago - to push us - I just feel we need something to help us now - I see the risk that FSG are willing to take but I don't have hope that we will retain our key players for the rest of the games - they will start to get injuries. I can almost sense it - can you ?

Why don't you write a letter to Hughes.

on the plus side, he's a backup for mo
He is actually very good - I watched him when they played City in the CL, and by far he was the best player - very active playmaker from the right side and took his goal very well from an acute angle.

Anyway @bluebell - I am absolutely distraught with anguish about how well we may fare for the rest of the season without the defensive support - we really need someone for that back-line, with Curtis/Gomez/Jota out - it feels like we need some backup as things could turn very bad quickly - especially if Szobo/Grav get injured. If VVD has any issues - then forget this season.

Considering we are roughly in the same position we were last season albeit with 2 points more, we still finished 7 points behind the Arse. They've had some very questionable decisions go against them with injuries to key players. When Konate got injured our backline was not the same and we struggled to get wins.
I would like to assure you we won't have the same issues, I guess the biggest difference between Slot and Klopp is Slot slows down the pace of the game and will take off key players bar Salah and Ali. However, if Konate or VVD do get injured maybe Slot will try be more compact or even play the low block?
Its nothing we fans can do. Remember we were asking for #6 for two seasons before they got Endo?

Apparently he’s equaled a record for a new signing winning the first 7 or 8 games participated in, or something.

you said we haven’t signed anyone. We signed him.

Moron.

That right there is the problem with the crazies - the most important thing for them is signings - they’re transfer junkies and need their hit.
Actually, you and your kind of thinking around transfers is the main problem, incapable of learning about past failures and coming short due to injuries and player non-availability. Its clear we are one injury away in midfield and central defence to making this season another like last.

Nonsense.

If you watch that fan debate thing with Carragher & Scholes, this weeks episode they get into it with transfers and my god you’ll fucking squirm during the bit with the Liverpool fan when they talk about how it’s only people on social media that get their knickers in a twist about transfers.

The point is - it’s not about transfers, it’s about improving the team and transfers are only one way of doing that and it’s not always successful.

The other way is coaches actually doing the job their hired to and improving the multitude of players already at the club.

We have a defender, midfielder and forward currently out - what does that mean? It means the squad players like Endo, Morton & Chiesa along with kids like Quansah, Harvey, Nyoni, Danns, Rio, McConnell have an opportunity to step up, rather than us spend money on someone who’s likely going to take time to reach Slots standard for game inclusion or spend 6 months sitting on a bench.

By all means, if top talent is available - get it - but if not - don’t bother.

Stop doom-mongering - our squads big & good enough to compete. Every team needs luck with injuries.
