Liverpool related transfer speculation

Tbh what top side has been good with loans? If a player's good enough we'd just buy them. Loans are borderline emergency cover, and therefore more than likely surplus to their own clubs needs.

[James Pearce] Young #LFC goalkeeper Fabian Mrozek heading to Forest Green Rovers on loan for the rest of the season. No issues with Jayden Danns' loan to Sunderland. Should be announced in the morning. Tyler Morton stays put. Was some interest from Middlesbrough but deal never looked likely.

I've said before that I thought it would make sense to bring in some fresh legs and one or more players to just shake things up a bit in training. I still think we should have done that.
But the title is basically down to a two-horse race between us and Arsenal. Neither of us did business in January. Nor did Newcastle. Chelsea are incontinent and can't help themselves, and City are panicking - I suspect they'll regret most of the signings they've just made.
I don't think we missed out on anyone who is a genuine target for summer, and if we did then it was Marmoush, and I'm not overly upset about that. I also don't think we'd have signed him without shifting Darwin - better the devil you know and all that.
The future of the contract three will continue to dominate, and we had better have some serious plans for summer, however their situation is resolved. Either we're patching up a squad that has lost key players, or we're building from a position of strength - I hope it's the latter.

Frankfurt has a habit of selling on players for a fat profit and them all flunking at their next club. I made it abundantly clear where I wanted players I just hope I am totally wrong and Slot has different fortunes to Klopp.
I was not surprised we did no business, it was clear as soon as the window opened... However, we have not done one contract extension, and that is pissing me off.

Done!

He's staying with the team to rehab a back injury before joining their squad. Against PSV, we saw plenty of areas for development—he wasn't bad by any means, but he's not an Owen-esque wonderkid ready to take the league by storm. The intensity of the first 70 minutes of a game is vastly different from the final third, so he’ll need plenty of minutes to build strength, stamina, and link-up play, which loans will give him if the minutes are there.

I'm not particularly concerned. We sometimes forget that most objective fans consider our attacking options among the strongest in the league, even without Danns. Something needs to be addressed in the No. 9 role this summer, but between February and May, we have enough depth. While I’m not fully convinced by Díaz as a No. 9, combined with Gakpo’s form on the left, it has at least provided additional cover. Slot is benefiting from Klopp’s legacy of favouring flexible, fluid attackers and it goes someway to mitigating the well known issues around Jota and Nunez.

It's interesting how many decisions were based off the back of a single PSV game.

Slot decided Chiesa was fit enough and sent Danns, who wasn't great on the night, out.
McConnell is now staying with the first team I heard.

Hahahahaha - is your memory good enough to remember the time when we weren’t we weren’t managed well financially and were in danger of actually going under?

Maybe you’d prefer us to be like Everton… after all the “peoples club” are all about the football and worry about the finances later.
Actually I have said it before ... I like FSG, and they do have nearly the right number of players, I just do not trust our players fitness ability to compete on all 4 fronts.

Is the back injury a recurring issue for Danns? I think that’s what also held him back after he first burst through under Klopp.
