Pre Match - Toulouse - EL - Thursday

Another chance to get some minutes into our fringe players. I'd like to see some good rotation here and save the bigger guns to be full throttle against Forest & Luton.

No way Klopp goes with that team. He'll want to get this group done ASAP so he can rest players later. Toulouse aren't in great form but they've drawn with both PSG and Marseille in the past 8 weeks.

Bajcetic is injured, don't think he'll be fit enough to start. Same with Doak.

I think it'll be a stronger team than @Brizzle suggested. Nunez will probably start. Possibly Salah too.

Midfield will probably be Endo, Jones, GB.

Forest seemed to be able to get at us easily last season, fresh legs in defence will be key for that. I'd also go for full resting and play those who didn't play at the weekend. Would play Konate Thursday and then Matip against Forest tbh, Konate seemed quite rusty. Play whichever youth LB is meant to be 3rd in line. Up front I hope that Nuñez and/or Gakpo can play just 45/60 mins each

I’d start Tsimikas - he needs game time.

Endo, Harvey & Curtis definitely the midfield.

Salah, maybe, Jota on the left, rest Diaz, and depending on how Gakpo’s fitness is, I’d start Nunez & bring Gakpo on 2nd half.

Wouldn’t mind seeing Bobby Clark get a run out at some point.

Agreed, the team Brizzle proposed with Bacjetic swapped for Gravenberch (Mac's done enough travelling!) and a front three of Nunez, Gakpo, Elliott (Diaz, Nunez, Elliott if Gakpo not fit)

However we really should have some 'proper' cover on the bench for Gomez without having to get Trent on a plane
