Pre-match thread Bournemouth (A) - 11 March 12:30

I'm sure Klopp will be reminding the players that Bournemouth were 2 goals up at Arsenal and cannot be taken lightly. Full concentration and intensity from the start, if we can get a decent lead then start thinking ahead about changes, resting etc

Lets not undo the good work through complacency.

4-3-3/4-3-1-2:
--------------Alisson------------------
-----Konate-------Van Dijk---------
Trent-------Fabinho------Tsimikas
------Elliott--------Bajcetic----------
--------------Gakpo-------------------
--------Jota---------Nunez-----------

Give Mo, Hendo and Robbo a bit of a rest before the big game in Madrid. Need to keep Gakpo in the side to continue building the attack around his "false 9"/AM role. Jota and Nunez can interchange as the 2 de-facto strikers.

Only other change that I would like to see here is Carvalho for Nunez

"The next game is Bournemouth. That will be tough: 12.30, early kick-off, always difficult over there, small stadium but we should be full of confidence but be very humble and ready for a tough game."
Virgil van Dijk

Rando fact. Even after the weekend, Arsenal have scored 32 more goals than us. City have scored 19 more.

We've scored almost 1/5 of our prem goals against them this season so...

Luckily the international break means we don't need to worry too much about resting or rotating for Madrid as we have this week off and then no games after Madrid.

I'd like to see same team, no one deserves to lose their place. Only thing I'd like to see is Diaz on the bench to get involved again with the matchday squad ready for his return in April.

Read somewhere we wont rush back and we'll wait until after the international break....which is sensible, especially after Sunday.

10 minutes against Bournemouth and Madrid when we are 7-0 up in both won’t hurt the guy.

It won't hurt LFC either if we don't see him, seeing as we'll be 7up in both games by HT. we'll be seeing the likes of Nat Doak and Fabio.

Rather do with him when he's had a bit more time so he's back ready to start games.

More chance of seeing Luis than those 3. King Arthur will be involved before those three.

Liverpool strikers will not want rest

When the two teams met in August, Liverpool won 9-0 at Anfield, costing Scott Parker his job. Jürgen Klopp’s side are coming into this match off the back of a monumental 7-0 victory over Manchester United, while Bournemouth have won once in their past 12 matches in all competitions. The signs are ominous for the bottom-of-the-table Cherries. Four of Liverpool’s attackers scored in the thrashing of United to give the frontline a much-needed confidence booster. Cody Gakpo, Mohamed Salah and Darwin Núñez et al will be keen for some further target practice on the south coast because they will be heading to Madrid in midweek in the desperate hope they can overcome a three-goal deficit against Real, so will not be keen on being rotated out, especially against a side who have conceded seven in their past two matches. A rest can wait when it comes to goals. WU

Guardians of the galaxy ten something about the weekend.

Jürgen Klopp has offered an update on the fitness of Thiago Alcantara, Luis Diaz and Joe Gomez.

The trio will not be available for Liverpool's lunchtime Premier League tie at AFC Bournemouth
on Saturday, but they are edging closer to returns to action.

Elsewhere, the Reds have no fresh injury concerns heading into the trip to Vitality Stadium.

Klopp told his pre-match press conference: "All three not available [this weekend].

"Different stages, I would say. Joey might be able to train at the beginning of the week; Luis I hope during next week. After the international break, then obviously for both [it's] possible.

"Thiago we will see. None of them trained yet with the team and then we will see how that develops in the next couple of weeks and we will know more

Wouldn't be disappointed if we never saw Gomez or Thiago again tbh, the number of injuries and the lengths of time they're out for....what's the point.
