Pre Match Pre Match - PSG (H) - Tues 20:00

Can see why Slot liked Diaz at 9. Gakpo’s injury has cost us, his form pre injury would have helped us through this fixture.

I am not confident he’ll be sharp for Sunday. He looked to cautious to compete for any 50/50s.

It’s a shame we haven’t seem more of him. In some of his fleeting appearances he showed great decision making and was always willing to make himself an option for the ball.

We’ll never know. But that might have been just the ticket in this one.
There’s been plenty of opportunities to play him but slot hasn’t done so. Exactly what we’ve said about Endo.

Not that bothered we are out, this new CL format is shite. Watching us play 8 group games to go out next round against one of the Uefa owned favourites. Meh…

It's because he moves exactly like Pacino and them when they were CGId into young men in The Irishman

It’s like grinding on level 200 on Fortnite Series 20 or whatever or Final Fantasy 25. Load of over saturated bollocks. Just glad we ain’t in Conf league, imagine playing 8 league games in that.

I don't mind Nunez taking a pen. It wasn't an awful pen, and you'd expect strikers to want to take pens
Jones pen....less understanding why he was third choice but ok. Terrible pen though.

Ali saves that first pen and the complexion is completely different.

We would have still missed the other 4 with Slot’s picks.

He was the only one ever looking least effective, did you miss our current league position? He can’t keep doing it.
It's ok to acknowledge that he was shite over the two legs... Doesn't mean you suddenly don't worship the ground he walks on. He's been amazing with the numbers this season. AND he was pure rubbish this past week.

Yeh I'm not gonna pile on Nunez for missing that pen tonight. Anyone can miss that. He's just been shite all year so his selection didnt make sense and thats on Slot. Gakpo maybe shouldve taken the third - but other than Van Dijk who else was left that is an obvious penalty taker? Jones was always gonna take one.

VvD, Elliott, Gakpo and doesn't Quansah fancy himself? That said doesn't Nunez have an excellent PK record? I'd be terrified trying to take a pen against that 6' 7" monster.

Even i can admit that not every facet of Nunez's game is total shit, but where he has proven himself to be Sunday league level is whenever he has had time to think about anything. When he hit the post with one a year or two ago I knew he'd miss any important ones in the future but I at least assumed he wouldn't get that opportunity. I just don't get it. It's like giving an eight year old a phone. It's not their fault you're fucking their lives up. You should go to jail.

That’s not the issue. It’s about why always turn every loss into let’s look at Mo. He wasn’t very good 1st leg and same again. It’s obvious but doesn’t mean you can’t question why always the focus on one player in a team game. This ain’t Tennis… whole midfield again wasn’t great in 210 mind, nor were the 3 starter strikers we had but point is if you had half the team not playing to expected level against a good team then going on about the only player capable of scoring a pen feels kind of focussed.

Because you and others act like he's the only reason we win when we win, but refuse to accept that he's poor when he's poor. Your lack of balance when it comes to him is ridiculous.

He's a wonderful player, who's a huge part of why we're gonna win the league this season. But he was shite over these two legs, and his early misses really cost us tonight... It's ok to say that, for goodness sake.

That’s rubbish. Yeah he’s contributed to 60% and carried us but no one said that. Did you miss the countless posts above which mentioned exactly described how Mo played in both ties?

Feels like you and few others wait for Mo to be shite and few others then pile in. Like I said multiple times, you can focus on one player and we can try do without Mo, but whom will we turn on when he is gone? It’s ok to admit sometimes, there are more than one player to fix regardless of whether he stays or goes. We have yet to replace any of the fab 3, no point pretending we can so let’s see if we can move the focus away.

Doesn’t change the fact, we got number of issues to fix and you can’t beat the best side we have played this year with 6 players not playing to expected levels.

Right, but we play through him a lot. Our attack is designed for him. There multiple situations that should have culminated in a dangerous chance to score where he couldnt play a fairly simple ball. When he's good, our team flows through him, and when he's bad, it does too. Yes he's easily our best attacker, but he also is given the most freedom because of that. When we are shit he doesn't tend to do anything. When he's shit we don't tend to either. He's shit when he's tired, and he plays too much.

If he isn't off next season he will be even more fucked due to the afcon. Whatever we do this summer, and there is fuck tonnes to do, we can't hang our attack on him as much. We have to be able to manage his minutes.

I agree with all that. Not sure how we play him less currently with what we have, we need investment and that’s where we need replacement strikers on multiple fronts rather than a Chiesa type buy.

I think we have too much to do though. That's why I think this year is the end of an era, even though we have a new manager. Our team could be dramatically different next year. Like, we could have two totally new fullbacks starting some games, and our fullbacks defined klopps team.

I had us to win on pens at 14/1 before we kicked off. As soon as I saw the stupid cunt walk up to take the pen I knew it was done. I don't blame the fucking wanker, but who picked him to take one?
Didn’t he has 100% record at pens pre Liverpool? Then 0/2 here.

It was clear once Gakpo came on that he was nowhere near fit enough to play. Criminal of Slot not to bring on Chiesa instead.

Or even leave a dead-tired Diaz on. Would have offered the same goal threat.
Yeah, I was calling for Gakpo thinking he was fitter than he was, but I don't really recall him even having a touch?
