He has delivered in big games, check the stats this season. Team game always, if you want special player to stand up in every game then he isn’t Maradona and we aren’t prime Real this season. Nunez first out the door. Jota is usualy unavailable. Diaz, we could accommodate when we had a well oiled trio, but he just sticks out like a sore thumb nowadays. I think Gakpo was, before his injury, operating at a level below Mo on the LW, but I have no idea if he can take it up a few notches to be truly world class.
If we don't sign Mo up to a new contract, I fear we'd be putting too much faith in players who are proven inadequate, or to make an impact in their first season.
I would defo move 2, Jota is of no value to the squad now. Should have been replaced 2 seasons ago.

I don't care about his age - were talking about one of the best players in Europe, and he's off form. My expectations are based on what the player is. As I said, if you think he played great etc, no issues. I just don't see it and it sucks, as 2 good mo performances and we probably win.

If we have to keep 1, I'd say keep jota as he's... as you say ... going to bring nothing value wise.
Jota reminds me of Lallana - he's one of those players you can almost tell just by looking at them that they're not physically cut out for it. Nowhere near athletic enough for the modern game. They can manage a few decent years in their mid 20s but end up completely broken before long.
Actually, watching Jota these days reminds me of Fowler in his second spell.

He had a great 15 minute spell between 30 and 45 minutes of the first leg and was a waste otherwise. Even at the weekend when he came on I didn’t notice him.
