Watched this on a delay so I'm late to the party.
Norwich were decent so I don't want to be too scathing of our first half, but I'll make an exception for Chamberlain, who just does too much shit that makes you wonder whether he's won a contest to be a pro footballer for a day. Every single time we start Keita and Chamberlain together we struggle and it goes to shit. Please stop.
Henderson, Thiago, Salah, VVD and Tsimikas were all class.
Gomez did a decent job, too. We missed Trents final ball, but Gomez impressed both sides of the half way line. Keita was reasonable but it would be nice to see him making a real difference rather than simply being a cog in the machine. We know he can do more.
The sheer quality of Thiago means we can go 424 comfortably and increase our chance to win enormously. Henderson put in a performance that stamped out any doubt he's on the decline. Really impressive all action performance. Nice to see.
Things weren't falling for Diaz today but he kept on trying, making runs, and duly got his reward. He's going to be adored here.

I really loved the first two goals today.
Mane had a ball coming over his head that seemed to hang in the air for ages, absolute concentration needed just to get a chance like that on target, and that’s all that was required from that distance.
Great long ball from the keeper. Mo does well but you think the chance is gone until he does a little drag back change of direction that puts the keeper on his arse and he bamboozles two defenders by stroking it in gently to the left of the net as they run the opposite direction.

The 3rd was the most enjoyable for me.. not because it was the best technically. But it meant my arse could unclench.. and also means the monkey is off Diaz's back, so to speak. He's off and running scoring in front of the Kop.
The fume won’t like that. We’re just knock and run merchants and they’re the pure footballing side.
That why i was happy with the Newcastle result. That and the fact that Everton lost 🙂

Would anyone take Max Aarons as backup for Trent? He's looked fairly reasonable whenever we play Norwich?
Oh definitely, but they're basically the same age. I don't know if it would be the best career move for Aarons. He's good enough to play regularly for a better team than Norwich.
Fair point...you wouldn't come if you wanted to get a lot of games, knowing Trent's ahead of you
Tsimikas seems happy.
Been busy all day so just had time to see the highlights. We looked good but wasteful, and I admit I expected Norwich to be worse.
