AgreedThink I’m fine with selling Ali, starting Kevin and have Jaros as the back up.

I don't know if we have a choice. It's almost certain that we'll be weaker in that position, and at backup for it in the coming years.
Quansah did his job there and played him off, as did Gomez and Bradley.Quansah was also at fault for bha best chance in the 1st half. The 1 on 1 with lamptey and jaros.
The whole back 4 looked shaky. But its a back 4 that doesnt usually play, so to be expected i suppose
It'd be a miracle if he was close to Becker. The big Georgian is gonna be some GK for us. Absolute star
Quansah first game under Slot subbed very early and very obviously for a poor performance.
Auansah second game under Slot and makes a big, key error that leads to a goal.
Not looking good.
Or he's had a charmed life in terms of his early introduction to the game, but now he's got some learning to do. He seemed to be incredibly confident, so this is part of it. It isn't normal to have super young, not filled out CBs doing really well.
I do feel for him though.
Feel really sorry for him. But it wasn't just his fuck up for their first, the deflection was just unlucky but he was taking risks moving into midfield himself and his passing into midfield gave the ball away a few times. Must be devastating as he had had a good game overall until the last 20 mins or whatever it was.Poor Q, he looks absolutely devastated on the bench
But he'll still start the same team bar a choice here and there between established players.Arne Slot: “I really like what I have seen from players who haven't played that much this season yet. They were able to play a similar style that we usually do and they brought quality into the game. It makes it even harder for me to make line ups in the next coming weeks.”
Mamardashvili Looked a great keeper at the Euros ( wasn't he in the team of the tournament? I forget) and he looks excellent in Spain. Him and Jaros should be very good when Ali leaves in a year or two or threeI don't know if we have a choice. It's almost certain that we'll be weaker in that position, and at backup for it in the coming years.
Pftt 2nd best possible draw and we're still whinging 😜Good draw but travelling down to the South Coast again is annoying.

I also thought their ground was very empty in the last minute even though they only needed a goal. WeirdAnyways, I'm currently ill and having to sit through that did very little to cheer me up.
The main takeaway for me was thank god I'm not a Brighton fan. I get they have to deal with players "learning the trade" but fuck me some of their players were frustrating today. Particularly the LW. He was awful.
Well duh...Nyoni is a better player than Morton. There I've said it.
He's started and figured fairly regularly enough, but Diaz has been in good form and they both play the same role. I get what he's saying though, it's not like he hasn't played, he's just finding it hard to incorporate both, when neither are really suited to playing down the middle and you're not going to oust Salah.Post-match press conference. Slot on Gakpo:
"For me he is a regular starter. He's not starting every game but he started on a regular basis. and he's he's he's in in in in a in a tough competition with Lucho Diaz, Luis Diaz,..."
This sounds like nepotism from Slot. Many football leagues are run and operated like that. Players are preferred. Players are recommended to clubs and sent to clubs in which they will be preferred by the managers. So that this is some sort of Dutch nepotism factor going on at LFC. For some reason Slot finds it very hard to treat Gakpo like he treats other players. Some Dutch individuals within some Dutch organizations might pressure Slot to ensure giving Gakpo great and strong opportunities. And special treatment. Perhaps Slot's own career has been developed and pushed by such Dutch individuals and/or organizations. Or some Dutch individuals and/or organizations can make things difficult for Slot in Holland unless he is seen giving Gakpo special treatment. Something like that.
Slot is very tough and firm with certain players. But with certain other players he is incapable of being so firm and tough. What he should do is treat all players the same.
And he finishes the topic with this:
"But for me, Cody has been a regular starter this season." Which is not true.
Jones was absolutely fucking shite.I thought Jones was excellent
I have no idea where Jones was playing yesterday. The only time I noticed him was the couple of times when he fouled another player and picked up the ball in frustration.
pun intended?I think Slot is just trying him out in different roles to see if he can... slot him in somewhere
