Lovely.

we need to invest on a world class striker to help suarez .we are asking to much from him playing with inexperienced strike partners.
Actually I didn't think that wasn't a foul Gene - seems to me the defender clearly got the ball.Sterling was fouled too though! It was mental.
We played well against one of the big clubs (funny how players always seem to do so) but still struggle against the lower teams, our defence was rubbish before we lost Agger and our criminally under stocked front line now has one recognised striker (who isn't an out and out striker and needs about 30 chances to score one goal). We're in the shit.
What has my post got to do with today's match? I wasn't making reference to what happened today.
In that case I'll refer you to the thread title.
As much as it sucks for Halsey to have been so horrendous today, I can't help but thinking that we were once again our own worst enemies today.
45 minutes of dominance in the first half, which resulted in fuck all. There's just not enough penetration or fluidity in the final third. Something needs to be changed obviously, but given our lack of options in personnel, I suspect it's going to be a very tough road until January.
That said, Ross has been absolutely right. We need to look at this season from a completely different perspective, and realise this is primarily going to be an exercise in building a team from scratch.
A few wins on the way would be nice though. 🙁
Can't disagree with any of that but we shouldn't assume we will sign a goalscorer in January though.

So I take it you didn't watch the match then. 🙄
Ignore him ... I'm not sure if it's Kanwar or not, but he's definitely on the wind up lately.

Or you're in denial
Or I wasn't really expecting a massive improvement on what Kenny was doing, bar playing style. And I see that we're in a good position to be getting very good in the next few months, and with the right purchases, the next few years.
Sorry Wizzy but being in a position to be potentially good in the future isn't filling me with any confidence. We're currently in a position to be really fucking bad at the moment.
Yup. Both hands to it, but weak wristsI havnt seen it anywhere but does anyone think that maybe Pepe should have saved the penalty?
We're not really fucking bad though ... are we? We've had a really difficult 5 game stretch where most of us would have been happy with 5-6 points. Building a team takes more than 5 games - forget this season result wise (Ignore this if we get relegated! 😛)
Of course it takes time to build a team mate but it's what happens between now and then that concerns me. We weren't really fucking bad last season either. We weren't really that good either at times. Yeh, we'd be happy with 5-6 points from those games whilst rebuilding but we have two points. Two. Fucking. Points. We have few goalscoring options, a very thin squad and are conceding goals far too easily. I'm seriously worried about our team at the moment and I'm never really that concerned, ever.
