Yeah, you wouldn't want him to lose his sparkling form thanks to the medieval witchcraft of the printed word. Who gives a feck what he says. Why do fans turn into pre-Enlightenment loons when they get a bit scared?
Cos football is super fucking tribal?

If you watch the picture, VVD, Trent and Robbo are quit close to each other. Lovren is doing his own thing.
No excuse, he stays with the others its offside. Poor defending, poor decision making and just a brainless moment.

The only reason this goal really matters at all is because of the fluke penalty to follow. 5-2 feels so much worse than 5-1. Still a bad goal to gift, but made worse by the next.

To be fair to Lovren, our midfield also capitulated in last 10 minutes providing much more pressure on the backline then we should have allowed.

Still a bad mistake, but amplified elsewhere.

They have put in plenty of miles the last 3 weeks each and everyone of them. Which is why I find it hard to justify any of them 3 we have left to burn more energy in the weekend. We need those six legs fresh and ready for Rome.

Perotti and Strootman have picked up injuries and are big doubts for Wednesdays game.

Good News for us. Big weekend for Roma as they take on Chievo at home. Chievo fighting for their lives. Later saturday eve Inter take on Juve. Their saturday is Critical.

We need 3 points against Stoke. It's a fine balance.

I didn't see Perotti show any signs of injury during the match. I doubt he'll be absent ... and he made a big difference when he came on so it would be nice if he were missing.

[bcolor=transparent][bcolor=transparent]Perotti and Strootman Suffer Injuries, Doubtful for Chievo, Liverpool[/bcolor]

[bcolor=transparent]Timing has never been a strength of Roma’s.[/bcolor]

[bcolor=transparent]We’re more than 24 hours past Roma’s, shall we say, difficult first leg against Liverpool in the semifinals of the [bcolor=transparent]Champions League[/bcolor] and the sting of that loss has yet to subside. And as if Roma’s 5-2 embarrassment at Anfield weren’t bad enough, the Giallorossi received a bit of bad news from the training room today, injuries to Diego Perotti and [bcolor=transparent]Kevin Strootman[/bcolor], each of whom are now in doubt for this weekend’s critical domestic fixture against Chievo, not to mention next week’s return leg against Liverpool.[/bcolor]
[bcolor=transparent]And given all the longballs they witnessed last night, one would assume they’ve each got a crick in their neck, but Perotti has actually been sidelined by the always niggling ankle injury, while Strootman has some sort of rib contusion on his right side, but my sources tell me that Strootman sleeps on his left side, so we’re good.[/bcolor]
[bcolor=transparent]In all seriousness, it’s impossible not to view these injuries without next week’s return leg against Liverpool in mind, but let’s not commit the sin of neglecting the Flying Donkeys. Lest you forget, Roma are in the thick of an intense Champions League chase among Italy’s third through fifth place teams, with Roma, [bcolor=transparent]Lazio[/bcolor] and [bcolor=transparent]Inter Milan[/bcolor] separated by a mere point. Let me say that again—a point. One measly little point could cost any one of these clubs tens of millions of dollars and untold adulation, so any assumptions Roma might make against Chievo could stop this project dead in its tracks once again.[/bcolor]

[bcolor=transparent]And if we’re being brutally honest, the Perotti injury is far more concerning than Strootman’s. As we saw late in the second half, the inclusion of Perotti was transformative (for lack of a better word) for Roma’s sputtering attack, while Strootman was vanilla at best against [bcolor=transparent]Mohamed Salah[/bcolor] and the rest of the Reds. Given his influence on Roma’s attack during his 24 minutes or so on the pitch, it’s safe to assume he’ll garner a larger role during the return leg, but Strootman can easily be replaced by Maxime Gonalons or Lorenzo Pellegrini. So if one were to prioritize the good hot tub in the training room or the coldest ice in the fridge, give it to Diego, full stop.[/bcolor]
[bcolor=transparent]While the Chievo match is arguably as important as the second leg of the Champions League semifinals, [bcolor=transparent]Eusebio Di Francesco[/bcolor] would be wise to err on the side of caution with both players against Chievo on Saturday. A lineup featuring Stephan El Shaarawy instead of Perotti or Pellegrini in place of Strootman is certainly capable of getting the job done against 17th place Chievo.[/bcolor]
[bcolor=transparent]Roma seldom does things easy, and if yesterday’s result and the ensuing injuries are a harbinger of things to come, the final few weeks of the season are going to be arduous.[/bcolor]

I like the thought of us as a long ball side

Gives people the impression of route 1 football, so they're shocked to see us be an absolute beast

Especially interesting when before the game Roma's style of play was compared to Ours. They like high pressing, quick turnovers and make the opponent run for their Money. And still they were totally blasted off the Pitch.

Or they're just a bunch of thick as fuck pieces of shit who aren't very good at football, as I proposed to several people before the match when I said without hesitation that we would twat them.

Oh, and on the Lovren discussion. It's that cunt's existence that's making us have to take Saturday's game half serious.

Who gives a fuck? Stuck 5 past them.

I'm not gonna google but I'd guess it's been a short while since anyone did that.

Actually I just did google and the last time anyone stuck five past them was in 2008

And it was Spurs. Oh noes.
