De Boer is exactly where he should be. He's a manager who is used to building a team, then losing half of it to bigger clubs, then looking around and recruiting cheaper options, then building another team, then losing half of it, etc etc. Exactly what Southampton need (in fact, an inspired appointment by them). Not what we need.

Klopp has at least won things - something I always said was important for anyone who is a candidate for a club of this stature. You just cannot learn on the job at LFC - it's too intense, too urgent an environment.

If Klopp won't come I think we need to stick with Brendan but FSG need to work with him to get us out of this mess. The era of being monitored half-heartedly from Boston is well and truly over.

De Boer has won the league 4 times though. Having a system were new players come in and perform just highlights his mangerial class and potential imho.
He'll end up a very good manager. The Ajax job comes with some decent pressure aswell I assume.

I like the fact that he's won everything as a player and used to be a top class defender.

Klopp or De Boer, both would be great for us imho.

Oh yes, there is no 'rip' between the fans vs Rafa ... Come on man.
I think there is more that would have him back than not

I think a vast amount of them would take him now..

He is not my ideal.. but he is the perfect man for the job IMHO. .

Well he'd sort the defence out.

Thing is, I know fsg won't want him long term, & it won't work with them long term anyway.

Cos he loves the club so much I can only compare it to when you split up with a girl cos she's in love with you & all clingy, but then you keep calling her for fucks when you don't pull on a Friday night. You know it's gonna hurt them, & they're lying to themselves to delay the hurt.

Napoli are currently conceding goals all over the place in Serie A so I'm not to sure about that.
There is no point going back, cos it wont end well.

Klopp or De Boer.

Not your ideal, but perfect for the job? How does *that* work? 😵

I'm not really on the sack Rodgers bus yet, but if it comes to it I'd try and get Klopp. Or if he became available it would be worth considering giving Rodgers the boot.

Not that I have seen loads of Dortmund, but style of play is similar to the one we played last season, right? So he'd develop what most of our players already know.

As GK said he has won things and he also has a bit of character and that is something a Liverpool manager needs.

Rafa? For fuck sake that would be a complete diasaster. Are we contractually obliged to consider every previous manager when the job comes up

I'm quite happy to stick with Rodgers until at least the summer, unless we actually do get dragged into a relegation battle. How he performs from now on, will depict whether we keep him past the summer or not. I don't trust him in the transfer market, he still has to prove himself there, but he has proven to have a vision and a line of progress, so he's allowed a bump in the road(albeit that this is a major one). If we hadn't done so well last season, this wouldn't look as disastrous, so he's a bit of a victim of his own success. He does need to start turning it around relatively quickly though.

Tony Pulis to steady the ship

Seeing as you, in your poll on the other thread, and other folks(in the other poll thread) are spelling it that way I'll have to ask, do you mean Marco Simone who managed AS Monaco 2011-2012 or Diego Simeone, the current Atlético de Madrid boss.
I think this poll should include Simeone.

If De Boer could lure Depay with him, that would be a coup. Might be more enticing than Klopp/Reus.

It's Spanish for Simon!

hey SCM liverpool fans, that act like Spurs fans, try supporting the manager, you know the guy who had us playing the best football in europe last season. The one that had us like giddy little schoolboys again.
